Mahindra BE6 and XEV 9E have created a buzz in the Indian market since their launch. The official bookings for these SUVs will start in the next couple of days, and test drives have already begun in many cities. Ever since the launch, we have seen several videos of people from different sections of society reacting to the design, features, and even the performance of these EVs. This time around, Mahindra took the new EVs to the Prince of Udaipur to see what he thinks about these new Mahindra EVs in town.

The video has been shared by Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs on their Instagram page. In this video, we see the BE6 and XEV 9E parked outside a palace in Udaipur. The person standing in front of the EVs is Prince Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar of Udaipur. He is seen talking about the BE6 and XEV 9E.

He starts the video by saying that he is extremely happy with the looks of the EVs and calls them beautiful. He mentions that the design of both Mahindra EVs is unique, and when his kids saw the car for the first time, they actually thought it was an alien vehicle. He is proud that an Indian car manufacturer like Mahindra has managed to build a car like this, and that too in India.

He then moves to the interior of the car. The BE6 and XEV 9E both offer a premium-looking cabin and are loaded with several premium features. In the XEV 9E, Mahindra is offering a triple-screen setup on the dashboard. One of them is an instrument cluster, and the other two are infotainment screens.

Lakshyaraj Singh talks about the infotainment screens as well and mentions how the screens actually entertained his kids while they were in the car. He also talks about the features, battery pack, and range in the video. He even drove the SUV uphill and was pleasently surprised by its performance. He ends the video by saying that it is safe to say that with manufacturers like Mahindra, India is taking the EV game to the next level.

BE6

The BE6, which was previously known as the BE 6E, is the smaller of the two SUVs and was launched at an attractive price of ₹18.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The EV is available in three variants and is packed with premium features. It offers features like an illuminated BE logo on the steering wheel, twin floating screens on the dashboard, sleek AC vents, Level 2 ADAS, a 360-degree camera, crash-resistant battery technology, seven airbags, and more. It also gets an infinity glass roof with dynamic LED lights.

It is available with two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The smaller battery pack offers a claimed driving range of 535 km, while the larger one provides up to 682 km.

XEV 9E

The XEV 9E is the bigger SUV with a coupe-like design. Mahindra offers three large 12.30-inch screens on the dashboard, which Mahindra calls the “Cinemascope Cockpit.” It also comes with rear-seat entertainment screens as an optional extra. It gets VisionX Augmented Reality HUD, MAIA (Mahindra Artificial Intelligence Architecture), seven airbags, Level 2+ ADAS, a 360-degree camera, and more.

It uses the same 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery packs as the BE6. Both these SUVs are currently offered in RWD configurations. The dual-motor or AWD setup is likely to be introduced at a later stage.
