Famous Punjabi Singer-Actor Gippy Grewal To Anand Mahindra: Please Fix Our Team's Scorpio-N SUVs

Mahindra is one of the leading SUV manufacturers in the country. They have a decent number of SUVs in both ICE and EV ranges. Apart from rugged looks, Mahindra also offers sturdy built vehicles to customers. However, famous Punjabi singer and actor Gippy Grewal has a different opinion. He recently shared a post on his X profile where he is urging the Mahindra team and Anand Mahindra to help him fix his team’s, not one, but two Mahindra Scorpio N SUVs that are facing issues.
Gippy Grewal, on his X profile, posted two screenshots of the email with the caption:
“Disappointing experience @MahindraRise @anandmahindra, please help. Bought 2 Scorpio-Ns for my team, but facing persistent tech issues & poor dealership experience. Requesting immediate resolution & investigation into Raj Vehicles, Mohali. MahindraScorpio Mail Screenshot Attached Below.”
In the email that he wrote to Mr. Anand Mahindra, Mahindra management, and the local Mahindra dealership from where he bought the cars (Raj Vehicles), he mentions that he is a huge admirer of the Indian brand. It was because of this admiration that he decided to gift two Mahindra Scorpio N SUVs to his team members.
They bought the SUVs back in December 2024 from Mahindra Raj Vehicles - Mohali. After buying the SUVs, the singer and his team members started experiencing issues with the vehicles. While the initial experience was smooth, the dealership staff’s behaviour changed after they reached out with genuine concerns.
The singer mentions that he is extremely disappointed both in terms of product performance and the after-sales service from the dealership. He stated that the staff has been behaving rudely, and instead of offering help and assistance in resolving the issues, they have made remarks like: “Jo hai, yahi hai, hum aur thik nahi kar sakte” and “Zyada complaint karoge to gaadi ki entry band kar denge agency mein.”
The singer also mentioned that the dealership refused to give them a copy of the entry and exit logs of their vehicles to show how many times the vehicles have been to the service center.
He mentions that in the first vehicle, the LED DRLs, infotainment screen, and the instrument cluster are not working properly. The infotainment screen blinks and often disconnects from the phone. Despite multiple visits, the dealership hasn’t been able to fix this issue. The second vehicle also exhibits similar issues. Additionally, there is a noticeable and concerning gap in the boot space, which is likely to be a manufacturing defect.
Gippy Grewal, in his mail, mentions that these SUVs were meant to be a gift for his team, but have now become a reason for distress and frustration for them every day. He chose Mahindra with pride as he believed in the strength and reputation of Indian engineering. However, he was let down.
The singer, in his mail, has requested a complete inspection of the Scorpio N SUVs, and he wants an experienced and reliable Mahindra service team to look at the vehicles so that the issues can be resolved.
He is also demanding a formal investigation into the unprofessional conduct of Mr. Rajesh Sharma and Mr. Rajeev Sharma, CEO of Raj Vehicles Mohali. The singer also asked for an explanation and corrective action regarding the refusal to share the visit logs of their vehicles.
The singer ends his mail on an optimistic note, mentioning that he is confident that if the Mahindra management looks into this matter, he, along with his team, can reach a fair resolution.
