Delivery Boy On Bajaj Pulsar Crashes Into Toyota Prado: Fixes Big Dent On Prado Bumper With Bare Hands (Video)

In many parts of the world, it isn't uncommon for accidents and minor crashes to happen. A motorcycle could randomly make a dent or a scratch on your expensive car or SUV. A video shared on 'That Dubai Page' shows such a case, which interestingly, unfolded in a way you'd hardly expect it to.
The incident involved a Toyota Prado and what looks like a Bajaj Pulsar. The motorcycle rider here, seems to be a delivery partner for some company. He ran into the rear of the Prado. It hit the rear left side of the Prado's bumper. The impact made a dent on the Prado's rear bumper.
The rider then did something which took the internet by storm! Without even trying to keep his bike properly, he rushed to mend the SUV's bumper. With utmost care, he dislodged the rear bumper, to make enough space for his hand to go inside. The rider then put his hand in, carefully.
Then, he fixed the dent with his bare hands! The strength of his hands should really be appreciated. Finally, the man puts the dislodged bumper back in its original position. Now, the Prado is left with just a few scratches on the bumper and no dents.
You would now wonder how the guy has been able to pop out the bumper just with his bare hands. The Prado seen here, comes with polymer cast bumpers. It is thus easier to pop out, compared to metal bumpers. But yes, you'd still need to apply a fair amount of force. Making things easier is the fact that Polymer cast holds memory.
The video has been doing rounds on the internet. At the time of writing this article, it has crossed 7,49,000 views. Many users have showed up with interesting comments on the post. 'He did everything in his power to not pay the bill' said one. 'Genuine guy. He didn’t even keep his bike properly and proceed to fix the dude’s bumper first.' said another.
'Thought he would wipe his hand on the dent and the paint would come back'- reads another comment! 'His strength came from how I can pay my hard work money on that huge damage repair'- said another user. A delivery agent would hardly be able to afford the repair costs of a Prado!
Repairing dents on polymer cast bumpers is easy, if you follow the right procedure. The smart use of heat is key in this. A heat gun or hot water is usually used for this purpose.
First, the area with the dent is heated. The polymer softens when the right amount of heat is applied. Then, the dent is pushed out from behind, using a blunt object. This should be done in a slow and gradual way, ideally using a gentle massaging motion. Once the plastic cools down, it will return to the solid, new-like state. In case of complex dents, multiple heating and popping out sessions may be required.
Although the above-mentioned process is a Do It Yourself (DIY) hack, it is advised to take the vehicle to a body shop if it sounds too much for you or if you aren't confident about the results. Professional dent repair services or a bumper replacement will obviously be more expensive! For minor scratch removal, you can try using a good-quality body filler and scratch removal compound.
