YouTuber and entrepreneur Ranveer Allahbadia recently hit the news for something unpleasant. People have now started talking about his business, net worth, car collection and lifestyle more than ever. Interestingly, this entrepreneur, despite having an estimated net worth of 58 Crores, owns just one car and it’s a Skoda!

Yes, this CEO owns a Skoda Kodiaq SUV that could seem too humble for his massive net worth. Allahbadia, in a video posted on Beer Biceps, explains that it was his family who bought the Kodiaq, and how dear the SUV was to all of them. In a video made in collaboration with Skoda, Allahbadia explains a day in his life, and how the Kodiaq forms an integral part of it.
Why Ranveer Allahbadia Owns just The Kodiaq?
In a previous post shared on X (previously Twitter), Allahbadia explained his logic behind not investing in expensive and luxury cars. He said that he used to drive a Hyundai Verna, early in his career. It was the first car that he drove and the one in which he learnt to drive. He thus had a special emotional bonding with the car.
He further says that he was one of those rare men who were never into cars, even as a boy. He did not even care about how society would perceive one’s cars and the image they would bring along.
He further describes an incident from the past when he showed up to a fan meet-up in 2018, in the Verna, and his fans and followers soon started asking how and why he was driving a humble Verna when he was already in a state to afford luxury cars.
Alladbadia says that 2018 was a time when he was actively building two of his businesses- BeerBiceps Media & Monk Entertainment, and was thus reinvesting every bit of spendable money back into these. He had to pay salaries, rent, and all his bills. Plus, he had to also make strategic investments for the further development of his business.
Unlike many contemporary content creators who used to splurge on cars, expensive outfits and vacations, Allahbadia was wise with his financial management. “Always focus on ‘saving’ first. Water the plants, then reap the fruits.”- this is a formula that the YouTuber has been following.
He considered spending on expensive cars stupid- and would do the same only after he’s attained more financial freedom. He finally chose to buy the Skoda, when he started feeling that a ‘richer’ image would actually grab more opportunities if one knew how to play the cards right. Allahbadia says that the creators who have survived and grown are those who have ‘frugal’ roots.
The Youtuber further says that the frills & luxuries of life are important only after a certain stage in life. These should not come at the cost of the now. The entrepreneur’s test for investing in luxury is “If it affects your mental health, it’s too expensive.” One should invest in these, only if they pass this test.
