Ranveer Singh Buys His First Electric Car That's Also Bollywood's First Hummer EV [Video]

Actor Ranveer Singh is usually known for his unique sense of fashion. We have seen him appear in unique-looking clothes on several occasions. However, it looks like the actor has decided to take some time off from social media and public appearances. We haven’t seen any videos of him on the internet in a long time. Just like his distinctive fashion sense, he also has good taste when it comes to cars. We have featured his expensive cars on our website before. Ranveer Singh has now bought a brand-new Hummer EV.

The video has been shared by CS12 Vlogs on his YouTube channel. While many people have already bought Hummer EVs in India, Ranveer has become the first celebrity or actor from Bollywood to have one in his garage. This is also probably the first electric vehicle in Ranveer’s collection.

In the video, we see the Maybach GLS600 owned by actor Ranveer Singh drive out of a residence. It is probably the residential complex where the actor is currently living. We see a flatbed with a Hummer EV approach the society gate. There is another Hummer EV behind the truck with Friday Night Cars branding on it. It looks like Friday Night Cars deals in importing Hummer EVs and many other exotic cars to India.

Ranveer Singh’s Hummer EV was brought down to the road, and both the EVs were driven into the residential complex. The car was delivered to the actor, and after the function, only one car returned. Later in the video, we see Ranveer Singh driving his new Hummer EV on the road with Green registration number plate.

As we know, the Hummer EV is not officially on sale in India. It has to be imported, and everyone who is driving a Hummer EV with an Indian registration plate has followed the same route.

This would have made the Hummer EV a lot more expensive than it usually is. GMC offers the Hummer EV internationally in two versions. The exterior design of the Hummer EV is inspired by the original ICE version. There is a 2X and a 3X variant. The former gets a dual-Ultium motor all-wheel-drive setup, which generates a peak power of 625 bhp. The latter makes 830 bhp and 15,592 Nm of torque.

We are assuming the actor got himself the 3X version, which is extremely powerful. The Hummer EV is powered by a 178 kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 505 km. Just like most American vehicles , the Hummer EV is a huge SUV and it easily weighs over 4,500 kgs. Although it is a heavy SUV, the electric SUV can still do 0–100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.

The Hummer EV also gets premium features like a massive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, GMC Super Cruise, a 13.4-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and more. It also features "Crab Walk," which went viral on the internet when the SUV was launched.

The price of a brand-new Hummer EV in the USA is around Rs 84 lakh, but in India, thanks to import duties and taxes, the same Hummer EV would cost anywhere between Rs 3.8 to 4.5 crore. How much Ranveer Singh spent on his Hummer EV, we don’t know.
