Ranveer Singh And Deepika Padukone Spotted in Multi-Crore Hummer EV For The First Time
Ranveer Singh is one of those actors who is known for picking versatile roles in movies and also for his sense of fashion. He always ensures that he makes the crowd turn their heads whenever he is out. The same pattern is visible in his car collection too. Just like most actors from the industry, he owns a variety of expensive luxury vehicles. The latest one is a Hummer EV. The actor bought the electric SUV a few months ago, and now we have a new image that shows Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone travelling in the EV for the first time.
The image has been shared by Sneyhzala on his Instagram page. In this image, we see Ranveer’s Hummer EV SUV on the road. We can clearly see the actor and his wife Deepika Padukone in the car. Ranveer is driving the car himself, and we have seen him do this on several occasions in the past.
Ranveer Singh is the first celebrity in Bollywood to buy a Hummer EV. As we know, the Hummer EV is not officially on sale in India. It has to be imported, and everyone who is driving a Hummer EV with an Indian registration plate has followed the same route.
As the vehicle has been imported, the price of the EV would have gone up substantially. The brand ensured that the electric version of the Hummer does not look too different from the original Hummer SUV. It is huge, rugged-looking, and the Hummer EV is no different.
GMC offers the Hummer EV in two variants internationally. There is a 2X and a 3X variant. The former gets a dual-Ultium motor all-wheel-drive setup, which generates a peak power of 625 bhp. The latter makes 830 bhp and 15,592 Nm of torque.
It is likely that Ranveer Singh got himself the higher variant, which is powered by a 178 kWh battery pack and has a claimed range of 505 km. Just like most American vehicles, the Hummer EV is a huge SUV and it easily weighs over 4,500 kg. Although it is a heavy SUV, the electric SUV can still do 0–100 kmph in just 3.5 seconds.
The ICE version of the Hummer was not the most futuristic or feature-loaded SUV. It offered a few premium features and an extremely spacious cabin. With the Hummer EV, the SUV gets features like a massive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, GMC Super Cruise, a 13.4-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control, ventilated seats, and more. It also features "Crab Walk," which went viral on the internet when the SUV was launched.
The price of a brand-new Hummer EV in the USA is around Rs 84 lakh, but as this is imported to India, the price goes up even more. This is done by an agency or a car dealer that specializes in such imports. The price of the Hummer EV in India is anywhere between Rs 3.8 crore to Rs 4.5 crore. Apart from the Hummer EV, the actor also owns expensive cars from brands like Maybach, Aston Martin, Lamborghini, and more.
