Ranveer Singh And Hanumankind Jamming Inside Hummer EV (Video)

Ranveer Singh’s latest movie, Dhurandhar, is now in theatres, and the actor has recently been quite active with its promotions. On Thursday (December 4th), a video surfaced on Instagram showing the actor jamming inside his GM Hummer EV, with famous Indian rapper Hanumankind. It soon went viral and set the internet talking.
The video was shared on the official Instagram handle of GigXIndia. It has crossed 618K views at the time of writing. It brings two of the entertainment industry’s biggest names in one frame and went viral due to the same. Netizens loved the aura of both the actor and the rapper.
In the video, we see Ranveer driving his Hummer EV. Hanumankind is seated on the front passenger seat. He is seen rapping live, and Ranveer is grooving to the same. The two seem quite excited about the release. For the uninformed, Sooraj Cherukat, known professionally as Hanumankind, is probably the most globally acclaimed India rapper, song writer and singer of our time. He has done at least two songs in this movie, including the title track.
We can also see the sky through the electric SUV’s massive glass roof. The Hummer EV comes with a modular ‘Infinity roof’ consisting of several removable, transparent panels. These can be detached without much effort and be stored safely in the frunk. Doing so will give a convertible-like experience.
It is unclear if Ranveer has removed the roof panels completely or has just retracted the sun curtains completely. The Hummer EV is doing around 80kph in the video, and Hanumarkind is wearing a cap, which seems to be unaffected by the wind. This makes us believe that the Infinity sky panels are still in place, and just the sun curtains have been retracted.
General Motors (GM) hasn’t launched the Hummer EV in India yet. One can, however, buy this electric SUV in India. The Hummer EV is made in America, as a Left Hand Drive (LHD) vehicle. There are companies like Autogroup International that source LED vehicles (like the electric Hummer) from USA and Europe, and convert them into Right Hand Drive (RHD) models for sale in markets that prefer this configuration.
Delhi-based Friday Night Cars have an ongoing partnership with AutoGroup Internationale and acts as the authorized dealer and service partner for the Hummer EV in India.
Two variants of the electric SUV are available in India- Hummer EV 2X and Hummer EV 3X, with ex-showroom prices of Rs 3.40 crores and Rs 3.50 crores, respectively. In July 2025, Ranveer Singh added the range-topping Hummer EV 3X to his garage.
General Motors brought back the legendary Hummer nameplate as an all-electric supertruck in October 2020. It was joined by an SUV version in 2022-2023. The EV triggers memories of the original Hummer with its exterior design.
The key difference between the 2X and 3X variants of the e-SUV is in powertrain output and number of electric motors. Hummer EV 2X SUV comes with a dual-Ultim motor setup that has a combined output of 625 bhp. The 3X variant, is more powerful and comes with a tri-motor setup (one on the front axle and two independent ones at the rear) that generates 830 bhp and 15,592 Nm. It is claimed to do the 0-96kph sprint in just 3.5 seconds.
Powering these motors is a massive 212.7 kWh battery pack, claimed to deliver a range of over 483km per charge. It supports up to 300kW fast charging. This SUV has a basic body-on-battery structure and rides on 35-37-inch off-road tyres. It even has extensive underbody protection so that trail-time doesn’t affect the electric powertrain. At 4500 kilos, the Hummer EV might simply be the heaviest electric passenger vehicle available in India!
