There is no doubt that the Ambani family has one of the biggest private collections of cars in India. The family updates their garage from time to time with new and expensive cars. They are currently the only family in India that owns the most Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUVs. They own as many as 10 Cullinan SUVs, along with other Rolls-Royce sedans and expensive cars. Other than cars, the Ambanis also own several helicopters and private jets. While we have seen many cars from the Jio garage on the road, there are a few cars that are not used by the family on a day-to-day basis. One such car is a 2001 model Mercedes-Benz S-Class limousine.

The 2001 model Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan is not spotted on the road for a reason. It is, in fact, not Mukesh Ambani’s but his father, Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani’s. The car seen here is a W220 S-Class S600 Pullman luxury sedan. Images of the car have surfaced online, and it looks like the Ambanis have maintained the car pretty well.

The car looks in great shape. It is finished in an all-white shade and features front parking sensors on the bumper. When compared to the regular S-Class, the S600 Pullman is different. The wheelbase on the S600 Pullman is at least 1 meter longer than the regular version. Other than the longer wheelbase, everything else about the car looks the same as a regular W220.

As the S600 Pullman comes with a longer wheelbase, it translates into better cabin space too. For a car that was bought in 2001, the S600 Pullman is loaded with features. As this was a limousine, it could accommodate 6 people, including the driver. The passenger cabin of the car has been completely redesigned or customized as per request.

The rear comes with seats for 4 passengers in a face-to-face configuration. All these seats come with electrical adjustments and memory functions.

We assume that Mr. Ambani used this car to conduct meetings with his clients while on the move. We can also see dedicated AC vents along with a music player. The floor mat in this car also looks more premium compared to a regular version.

The driver gets a 4-spoke steering wheel with wooden inserts on the dashboard and steering wheel. There is a company-fitted infotainment system too. Usually, we have seen partitions between the driver and the passenger cabin. However, we do not see anything like that in the pictures here. If there were a partition, the driver would have had an intercom feature to communicate.

The Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman was introduced in 2001 and was powered by a 6.0-liter V12 M137 engine. This engine generated 367 PS and 530 Nm of peak torque. Other than the S600 Pullman, Mr. Dhirubhai Ambani also owned a BMW 759i XL L7 limousine. This car has been spotted on Mumbai roads a couple of times.

This particular BMW was custom-made by BMW for the South East Asian, European, and Middle Eastern markets, with the “XL” denoting its extended length. The 759i XL L7 is powered by a 5.4-liter V12 petrol engine, delivering a remarkable 322 Bhp of power and 490 Nm of torque.
