Raymond CEO Gautam Singhania: Shocked At Lamborghini’s Arrogance After Revuelto Breakdown

Remember the case where Raymond CEO Gautam Singhania was disappointed with the Lamborghini Revuelto supercar after it broke down on the Trans-Harbour Link in Mumbai. The incident happened earlier this month, and it appears that Gautam Singhania has not received any updates from the brand about it. Gautam Singhania, a well-known name among car enthusiasts, once again took to social media to express his shock at what he perceives as arrogant behavior from Lamborghini.
The businessman posted on his X profile, criticizing Lamborghini. He wrote, “I’m shocked at the arrogance of India Head @Agarwal_sharad and Asia Head Francesco Scardaoni. Not one of them has reached out to even check what the customer issues are.”
Mr. Singhania is not only addressing his own experience, where he took a Lamborghini Revuelto for a test drive earlier this month. He is speaking on behalf of all those customers who have faced issues with the supercar. In one of his earlier posts, he mentioned that many Lamborghini customers are experiencing quality issues. He stated this is unacceptable for a supercar worth crores.
Before going public, Gautam Singhania attempted to contact senior officials of Lamborghini India. However, none of them, including India Head Sharad Agarwal, returned his calls to discuss the matter with this loyal Lamborghini customer. Due to this attitude, Gautam Singhania called Lamborghini “arrogant” for seemingly disregarding customer concerns.
The comment section under his post contains many supporters. Some of the comments include, “Ola for rich people!”, “Noted that Sharad Agarwal hasn’t been on Twitter since 2021. But @Lamborghini not responding is a bit strange,” and “Maruti is the best alternative.”
Gautam Singhania took the Lamborghini Revuelto for a test drive, during which the car broke down. It was stranded on Mumbai’s Trans-Harbour Link and had to be transported back to the dealership on a flatbed truck. The breakdown was due to an electrical issue. Despite being a brand-new car, it faced such problems. He had raised his concerns about the car’s reliability, yet Lamborghini has not responded on this matter.
Lamborghini is a popular sports car brand in India, and such a negligent approach towards customer issues could harm the brand’s reputation.
The Lamborghini Revuelto was officially unveiled in March of last year. After its debut, the supercar was introduced to the Indian market in December 2023. Like many Lamborghini models, the Revuelto has already found a good number of buyers. Lamborghini India secured a limited number of Revueltos for the Indian market, all of which are sold out until 2026.
The Revuelto is a successor to the iconic Aventador and Lamborghini’s first plug-in hybrid supercar. It is powered by a 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine paired with three electric motors and a 3.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Lamborghini claims this is their lightest and most powerful engine yet, generating 825 PS and 725 Nm of torque.
When combined with the electric motors—two at the front and one at the rear—the Revuelto generates 1,015 PS and 807 Nm of torque. The front axle motors power the front wheels, while the rear motor assists the engine in sending power to the rear wheels. It is equipped with an 8-speed DCT gearbox and is priced around Rs 8.89 crore ex-showroom.
