Biker Threatens To Shoot Toyota Innova Driver In 'Self Defence' After Road Rage Confrontation [Video]

Drivers today in India have completely lost their patience and are often ready to engage in road rage. As a result of this, a number of people have now started sharing such road rage incidents online. Most recently, a new video of a road rage incident between a Toyota Innova and a sports bike rider was shared online. In this particular incident, the Innova driver picked up a rock to threaten the bike rider for blocking the road. So, in retaliation, the bike rider threatened to shoot the driver with his gun.
This video of the altercation between two men on a mountain road has been shared on Instagram by Street Sandy on their page. The clip first directly shows the part where the biker was seen saying that he'll shoot the driver with his pistol under the pretext of “self-defence.” Following this, the actual clip starts, because of which the situation escalated.
The entire video was shot from the helmet camera of the biker, and it can be noted that he was on a small pass on which a lot of big rocks were on the road. Now, as his fully faired sports bike had a low ground clearance, the biker was slowly crossing this pass. However, during this, a person comes and starts shouting at him for holding back the traffic, as he had blocked the road.
During this, the biker was seen trying to explain his situation to the person. However, instead of listening, this man decided to pick up a rock, after which he can be seen threatening to hit the bike rider with it. Soon after this, the biker crosses the rocky pass and lets the Toyota Innova, with a number of tourists and the same man who was driving the vehicle, cross. He then came next to the car and started verbally fighting with the driver.
It can be heard that this rider asked the car driver about him abusing him. To this, the car driver also started questioning him for the same, and then the biker asked the driver to step out of the vehicle. The clip then shows all the people sitting inside the car standing in front of the bike and trying to calm down the biker. It can be heard when the biker was explaining about the low ground clearance of his bike.
A man from the car said that he should not be bringing a sports bike to Ladakh. After this, it can be seen that a man who appears to be the tour guide of this car started asking everyone to get back in the Innova. However, just when they were about to leave, the biker then threatened the car driver and all the passengers of the vehicle.
He stated that it won't take long for him to pull out his pistol and shoot the driver under the pretext of “self-defence.” He added that he has already had a chat with someone and was given a green signal that he can shoot someone for self-defence. The biker also highlighted the car driver's action of him picking up a rock and him threatening to hit him was enough of a reason for him to shoot under the self-defence label.
So, as soon as the biker repeated the same thing, the attitude of all the people from the car immediately changed, including the car driver. They all then started saying sorry to the biker, and he also became a little calmer. He stated that he just wanted the car driver to apologise for abusing him. Finally, all of the people went their separate ways.
In this situation, both the car driver and bike rider escalated a small situation. The car driver should not have picked up a rock and threatened the bike rider. However, at the same time, the biker cannot threaten to shoot anyone with a pistol under the tag of “self-defence.” Even if the firearm is legally registered under his name, he has no authority to shoot anyone.
