Rolls Royce Spectre is the carmaker’s first-ever EV. It was launched in India in January last year. The EV is currently rising to acceptance among celebs. Many movie stars and well-known businessmen now add it to their expensive garages. Here are three well-known owners of the Rolls Royce Spectre EV in India.

Actor Dhanush And His Spectre

Dhanush is a popular Tamil actor. A video shared by Automobili Ardent India on Instagram shows Dhanush with his Rolls Royce Spectre finished in the Midnight Sapphire shade. Though it could look like Black, it is in fact, a shade of Deep Blue. The actor bought the car recently and has been spotted multiple times driving around in it. Dhanush also owns a BMW 7 series which also happens to be a recent buy.

Ram Charan’s Spectre

Telugu superstar Ram Charan is another famous owner of the Spectre EV in India. Also a member of the Chiranjeevi family, he bought the 7.5 crore Rolls Royce EV in Black. This also happens to be the Allu-Konidela family’s second Rolls Royce. The actor was previously spotted arriving at the Hyderabad airport in it. He was seen driving the Spectre himself and was accompanied by his wife Upasana Kamineni. In the video, Ram Charan can also be seen opening the door for Upasana, who was holding their baby- such a humble act.

Circling back to the car, Ram Charan has chosen a premium tangerine and black dual-tone interior for his Spectre. It goes well with the Black exterior colourway and all the Chrome that the Spectre has. We don’t know the exact list of options that the actor has chosen for his EV.

The Ambanis’ New Spectre

Ambani’s first EV is a Rolls Royce and we aren’t surprised. The extremely successful Indian businessman has bought the Rolls Royce Spectre in the English White colour. The Jio bossman has also bought an expensive VIP number for the car- ending with 0001. He was spotted previously on Mumbai roads with the car.

Ambani, who is in fact, Asia’s richest man, is fond of Rolls-Royce cars and has a big collection of them. Even though this is his first Spectre, Ambani owns several Cullinans stationed in both India and abroad.

Interestingly, India’s first Rolls Royce Spectre owner is not the Ambanis or Tata- but a businessman from Chennai. He bought the first Spectre EV in the country even before it had its official launch here. The Chennai-based builder- Baashyaam Yuvaraj of Baashyaam Constructions took delivery of his Spectre finished in Monteverde Grey, two months prior to the actual launch.

Unlike people who would dress up heavily for such occasions, Baashyaam got his new car keys dressed in normal jeans, T-shirt, and chappal- earning praise online for his humility.

More About Rolls Royce Spectre

Rolls Royce has based its first EV on an electrified version of the same platform as the Phantom and Cullinan. There is a high focus on the design aerodynamics, as a result of which the drag coefficient is a remarkable 0.25cd. The EV rides on 23-inch wheels and has a handful of distinguishing design cues. The cabin packs luxe trims, surfaces, materials and a lot of tech.

As for the powertrain, the Spectre gets a 102 kWh battery pack that claims to deliver a range of 530 km per charge. It comes with dual electric motors that sit on the front and rear axles. Together, these produce 593 PS and 900 Nm- strong enough to pull the 3-ton sedan from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.5 seconds.
