With the rising number of vehicles on our roads, parking has become a major concern/ issue, especially in urban India. Poor parking practices that block access to people or other vehicles, only make things worse. People usually react to such situations in bizarre ways. A recent video shows a Royal Enfield rider making room to park his bike, in an unusual way.

Shared by a user on Reddit, these CCTV visuals are apparently from a gym’s parking lot. You can see several bikes and a White Hyundai Eon parked there. The motorcycles are all parked properly. The car, on the other hand, seems to be parked in a way that it blocks the way to the other side of the parking.

The Royal Enfield owner apparently wanted to park his bike on the other side. He is frustrated by the poorly parked car and decides to move it and make way for his motorcycle to pass through. He gets down and moves towards the car. He then places his back against the Eon and uses his hands to push it to the side.

Yes, he just moved a car with bare arms! He lifted it by holding it under the wheel arch with his hands and then pushing it aside. To give you more clarity, the Eon weighs around 795 kilograms. It is definitely lighter than many other cars around. Having said that, it isn’t easy to lift 800-odd kilos. The man here seems to be a fitness enthusiast who is heading to hit the gym. He even has his gym bag with him at the time of the incident.

Another thing to mention here is that the Royal Enfield rider used the right technique to lift the car. He held it by the right spot. If not for this, he could have damaged the vehicle. Furthermore, he pressed his back against the vehicle while lifting it, taking the load evenly and safely. This kept his back safe. Adopting the wrong technique could have caused him injuries.

Usually when people find themselves in such situations, they tend to look for alternate parking spots or a different location altogether. This Royal Enfield rider, was, however, too determined to do so. He can be seen asking someone around about the car, before actually pushing it aside physically. Once the car was out of his way, the rider walked back to his bike and continued to ride forward.

This is not the first time that we come across such an incident. Previously, we saw a Tata Harrier driver encountering a poorly parked Maruti Wagon R, which was blocking his way. He ‘took things into his own hands’ and lifted the WagonR with bare hands, and moved it out of his way, much like what is seen in these CCTV visuals. Like in this case, the Harrier driver pressed his back against the vehicle before lifting it and pushing aside.

Going by these instances, you shouldn’t assume that anyone can move any car in this manner. These usually work for lightweight cars alone- like Maruti Alto, WagonR, Hyundai Eon etc. Heavier and bigger vehicles will be nearly impossible to move this way.

However, a previous video had showed women members of Nagaland’s Army battalion lifting a Mahindra Bolero that got stuck in a ditch, using their hands, and in a collective effort.
