Salman Khan’s Father Salim Khan Buys New Mercedes GLS Worth Rs 1.3 Crore
Bollywood producer, screenwriter, and father of superstar Salman Khan, Salim Khan, has bought himself a brand-new Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 luxury SUV. This new Rs 1.3 crore Mercedes-Benz SUV was delivered on the day of Dhanteras. Apart from this vehicle, the Khan family has also ordered another bulletproof Nissan Patrol for Salman Khan after he received new death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Salim Khan’s New Mercedes-Benz GLS 450
The video showing the delivery of Salim Khan’s Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 has been shared on Instagram. It comes courtesy of Varinder Chawla, the popular Bollywood paparazzo, on their page. In this short clip, Salim Khan’s new Mercedes-Benz SUV was seen undergoing Hindu rituals performed by an older gentleman.
Now, who exactly is the person taking delivery of this SUV on behalf of Salim Khan is unknown. However, what we do know is that this particular Mercedes-Benz GLS has been registered under the name of Salman Khan.
It is a GLS 450 4MATIC variant which, as mentioned, is priced at Rs 1.3 crore (on-road). As for the color, it is finished in the classy shade of Polar White. As for the interior, it appears to be finished in beige-colored leather upholstery.
Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC
The German luxury carmaker recently launched the updated 2024 GLS SUV in India. This time around, the SUV has been given a few exterior and interior enhancements which differentiate it from the previous model. It now features a redesigned front grille along with new LED headlights that boast a block pattern.
Apart from these, the new GLS 450 also has redesigned front and rear bumpers. A few new gloss black inserts have also been introduced. It also comes with slightly redesigned 21-inch alloy wheels. On the inside, for the 2024 model year, the company has changed the steering wheel.
The new steering wheel comes equipped with haptic feedback-providing buttons. The 2024 GLS also comes with twin 12.3-inch screens for infotainment and a digital instrument gauge cluster. Apart from these, the SUV also includes the latest MBUX system, a 360-degree camera, adjustable air suspension, and ADAS features.
Mercedes also offers this full-size luxury SUV with the Rear Seat Comfort package, where the customer can opt for features such as controls to adjust the front seat to increase space and electric sun blinds. Additionally, there are also two 11.6-inch entertainment screens, an additional tablet to control features in the car, and many more.
Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4MATIC Powertrain
In terms of powertrain, Salim Khan has opted for the Mercedes-Benz GLS 450, which is the petrol-powered variant of this SUV. It comes equipped with a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine. This motor is capable of producing 381 PS and 500 Nm of peak torque.
On the other hand, the company also offers a diesel mill with the GLS 450d variant. It uses a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine which generates 367 PS and 700 Nm of peak torque. Both engine options come with the same 9-speed automatic gearbox and mild hybrid system, providing an additional 20 PS and 200 Nm of torque on demand.

As stated earlier, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been receiving numerous death threats. Primarily, these threats have been coming from the imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. For this reason, the actor has been using various bulletproof SUVs to travel in and around Mumbai.
Presently, the actor is using his newly purchased Range Rover Autobiography LWB with bulletproof windows. However, prior to this, he was seen with a previous generation Nissan Patrol with the highest grade of bulletproofing. Now, it has been reported that he has ordered another bulletproof Nissan Patrol of the newest generation to use.
