Salman Khan And His New Bulletproof Range Rover In Convoy [Video]

The Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is, hands down, one of the most popular celebrities in India. He is not only famous in India, but he is also known across the globe. Recently, however, the actor has been in the headlines for another reason, and that is him getting numerous death threats. All of these death threats have come from the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. As a result, Salman Khan has recently upgraded his Rs 4 crore Range Rover Autobiography LWB into a bulletproof tank.
A video of Salman Khan sitting inside his bulletproof Range Rover has been shared on Instagram by Romit Goyal on their channel. In this short clip, we can note that a few people sitting inside a cab were on the Mumbai Coastal Road. During this ride, they saw a Mahindra Bolero and a black Toyota Fortuner with “Escort” written on the rear windshield.
Following this, the clip shows a blue-colored Range Rover with completely blacked-out windows. It can then be noted that when the cab sped up a little, the people sitting inside the vehicle who were recording started shouting, “That is Salman Khan.” In the video, we can also note that, indeed, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was sitting in the front passenger seat of this luxury SUV.
Last year, Salman Khan bought this Portofino Blue-colored Range Rover Autobiography LWB variant worth Rs 3.3 crore. It was then sent to a specialized workshop that converts standard cars into bulletproof cars. As per reports, the cost of bulletproofing Salman Khan’s Range Rover was Rs 80 lakh.
It can be noted that the windows of this particular Range Rover are different from the standard model due to the changed bulletproof glass. Most likely, the vehicle has also been given additional bulletproofing elements. As for the powertrain, generally, no changes are made to the powertrain of the vehicle.
The Range Rover Autobiography LWB chosen by Salman Khan comes equipped with a 3.0-litre in-line six-cylinder engine. It also gets mild hybrid assistance and makes 394 bhp and 550 Nm of torque. The SUV comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an AWD system.
As a result of the increased number of death threats and the recent assassination of Salman Khan’s best friend, Baba Siddique, the actor has been extremely cautious while being out in Mumbai. He has been seen in different bulletproof vehicles in the last few months. Prior to upgrading to the Range Rover Autobiography LWB, the actor was seen using a bulletproof Nissan Patrol SUV.
This particular vehicle was privately imported by him from the United Arab Emirates. His Nissan Patrol is finished in a classy shade of white. It is powered by a 5.6-liter V8 making around 405 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. It has been reported that the actor has also placed an order for the latest-generation model of the bulletproof Patrol as well, and it will be delivered to him in the coming months.
Prior to the Patrol, the actor used to be driven around in a previous-generation bulletproof Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 SUV. Salman Khan’s LC200 comes equipped with a 4.4-liter V8 engine making around 262 bhp of power and 650 Nm of torque. Along with these SUVs, Salman Khan’s security has also been increased, and he has been given Y+ security by the government of Maharashtra.
