Salman Khan And His Bulletproof Cars: Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 To Mercedes Maybach GLS
Salman Khan is one of the biggest names in the Bollywood film industry. He has acted in over 100 movies and has even produced many of them. Over the years, he has been involved in a few controversies and has also received threats. Like most actors, he used to travel in luxury cars and SUVs, but lately, with a rise in threats to his life, he decided to upgrade his rides and started using bulletproof vehicles. Here is a list of bulletproof cars that Salman Khan is often spotted with on the road.
Toyota LC200
The first car on the list is a Toyota Land Cruiser LC200. This previous-generation Toyota SUV was probably the first bulletproof vehicle in Salman Khan’s garage. He has been spotted with this SUV several times. Although Toyota does not manufacture OEM armored vehicles, specialized aftermarket garages have equipped this rugged SUV with top-notch ballistic protection. While specific details of the armor remain undisclosed, it is known to meet high international protection standards, possibly even rated VR9 or VR10. We are not sure if he still has this SUV in the garage but, yes this was one of the armoured vehicles in his garage.
Nissan Patrol
After Salman Khan started receiving death threats from a gangster, his team decided to enhance his security. The LC200 that he was previously using was quite old, which was probably the reason why they soon bought a brand-new Nissan Patrol SUV.
Not just any Patrol, but a custom-made armoured SUV. This was, in fact, the first current-generation Patrol to be imported and registered in India.
He probably liked the Nissan Patrol so much that he decided to import one more to India. So now he has not one, but two armoured Nissan Patrol SUVs, which he uses regularly from his garage. The Nissan Patrol is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 405 hp and 560 Nm of torque.
Range Rover
After the Nissan Patrol, we came across a video of another luxury SUV in his garage. He bought a Range Rover, and even this SUV is bulletproof. He purchased the Range Rover Autobiography SV LWB 3.0 in Portofino Blue. The actor has been spotted in the co-driver seat of this SUV on several occasions. The thick black strip around the windshield is an indicator that the car is armoured.
The cost of a standard Range Rover Autobiography SV LWB is around ₹4.4 crore, but such customisations would increase the price significantly. The SUV bought by the actor is likely to be the 3.0-litre plug-in hybrid variant producing 503 bhp and 700 Nm of torque.
Maybach GLS600
The last car on the list is a Maybach. We have seen the actor arrive in this flagship SUV on several occasions. While reports claim that the GLS600 is also bulletproof, there are no confirmed statements about the same. The car was actually bought in 2024, and it seems the actor would have received the car only after the reinforcements and armouring were completed, possibly after a year.
The car costs around ₹3.70 crore and is powered by a 4.0-litre V8 engine, accompanied by a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine delivers a peak power output of 557 PS and 730 Nm of torque. The hybrid system can provide an additional 22 PS and 250 Nm of torque on demand.
