Bollywood Actor Sanjay Dutt Buys Rs 3.4 Crore Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 SUV
Sanjay Dutt is one of Bollywood’s most celebrated stars. Over the years, we have seen him own several exciting cars and SUVs. The actor has even owned Ferraris. Now Dutt has made headlines again, not with a film release, but a car purchase. The 66-year old actor has added a brand-new Mercedes-Maybach GLS600 to his garage. This ultra-luxury SUV has an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.35 Crores in India. A few pictures and videos of Dutt’s new acquisition have been shared online.
Dutt took delivery of the Maybach SUV from Auto Hangar India, the dealer in Mumbai. The dealer shared a picture of the same on Instagram. It shows the actor standing proudly next to the SUV, along with a dealer staff. The vehicle wears a traditional Marigold garland and even has a small floral offering on its hood- celebrating the auspicious occasion. Dutt seems to have got the Maybach delivered to his home in Mumbai. The image suggests the same.
The Instagram handle ViralBayani has shared a video in which we can see the SUV rolling through Mumbai roads. It is being driven by a chauffeur. The actor isn’t present inside. The vehicle has the garland on even when it moves through the tight city traffic. It is turning a lot of heads as it passes by. Later in the video, we see it parked inside the premises of what looks like Dutt’s home. A Mercedes G wagen can also be seen in the background.
Maybach also sells a dark-themed ‘Night edition’ of the GLS600 in India, which has an ex-showroom price of over 3.71 Crores. The actor has chosen to go with the regular Maybach GLS.
Sanjay Dutt’s Maybach GLS: More About It
Dutt’s Maybach shopping wasn’t really a surprise. Recently, we saw him taking test drives of the Maybach models- both The S580 sedan and the GLS600 SUV. These cars were brought to his home in Pali Hills, on a flatbed, where he took them for a spin. Dutt seems to have considered both before settling for the SUV.
The most interesting part here is that he already owns a Mercedes Maybach S580 finished in Designo Diamond White colour. This left fans wondering why he would choose another S580. This further narrowed down the possibilities to him buying the GLS. Dutt is very fond of large, luxurious SUVs and owns a Range Rover SV as well.
Mercedes-Maybach gave the GLS 600 a mild update for the year 2025. It now gets a refreshed grille, chunky monoblock wheels, and more. It continues to be powered by a 4.0-liter V8 engine mated to a 48V mild-hybrid system. It delivers 557 PS and 730 Nm. 250Nm of this comes from the mild-hybrid setup alone. A 9-speed automatic transmission does duty on the SUV. The GLS600 is quite fast and can do the 0-100kph run in just 4.9 seconds
