Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood Highlights Safety Feature That Saved His Wife's Life In MG Windsor Crash
Recently, the popular Bollywood celebrity Sonu Sood’s wife, Sonali Sood, was involved in a serious car crash on the Mumbai-Nagpur Highway. Thankfully, she, along with her sister and her nephew, were safe despite the severity of the accident. Now, recently, Sonu Sood, via his social media handle, has shared the main safety feature which helped in saving his wife's life during the accident.
Sonu Sood's message
This video of Sonu Sood highlighting the most important safety feature which helped in saving his wife Sonali Sood's life has been shared on his official Instagram page. In this short video, the actor was seen sitting on the rear seat of his Mercedes Maybach GLS600 luxury SUV. He starts by stating that today he has an extremely important message to share.
Following this, he states that last week there was a big accident which took place in Nagpur, Maharashtra, in which his wife Sonali Sood was involved. He added that in this particular accident, his wife, her sister, and her nephew were present. After this, the actor mentions that the only thing which saved their lives at the time of the accident were the seatbelts.
He then added that soon after his wife's sister and her nephew sat in the car, she asked them to put on their seatbelts. And just a minute after wearing the seatbelts, their MG Windsor EV crashed into the rear end of a truck. Sonu Sood then added that had they not been wearing their seatbelts, they could have suffered from a lot of injuries.
Rear seat occupants should also wear seatbelts
Continuing the video, the actor then stated that 99 people out of 100 who sit in the rear seat of a car do not wear a seatbelt. He added that most people think that it is only the front seat passenger and driver who need to wear the seatbelt. Sonu Sood also highlighted that some people only wear the seatbelt to show to the police authorities to avoid getting a fine.
However, as these people do not clip on the seatbelt, it becomes useless. For this reason, today he is urging everyone to understand that seatbelts are one of the most extremely important safety features in a car, and they should be used anytime a person is sitting inside a car. He added that both front and rear occupants should wear seatbelts as they can save their lives.
What happened?
As mentioned above, recently Sonu Sood’s wife was involved in a terrible accident in Nagpur. The car she was traveling in was an MG Windsor EV, which rear-ended a truck. Now, what exactly was the reason behind the car rear-ending the truck has not been revealed. However, it is believed that either the vehicle was at a high speed and the truck braked abruptly, causing the accident, or it could be possible that the truck was stationary and the MG Windsor EV crashed into it.
It was reported that all six airbags of the Windsor EV were deployed, which helped in keeping all the occupants inside the vehicle safe. This newly launched EV from MG comes offered with six airbags as standard, ABS, EBD, all-disc brakes, parking sensors, 360-degree camera, hill hold, and electronic parking brake with auto hold.
