Indian billionaire businessman and CEO of Serum Institute of India Adar Poonawalla has been spotted driving a Paganbbi Huayra hypercar in the UK. In a video that seems to have been captured in London, the Poonawalla Fincorp chairman is seen zooming past in a Red Huayra. The reel was shared by Automobili Ardent India.

It is unclear if the billionaire businessman has added this exotic to his London garage or was just having a weekend drive with it. The car gets Rosso Dubai exterior colourway and has a tan leather interior. It seems to be. an early Huayra, from a time before Pagani decided to give it those obnoxious wings or diffusers. The lines and surfaces on this car are extremely satisfying to watch. It has a high focus on aerodynamics and is extremely fast on the tarmac.

The post is garnering much attention online and people are showing up with interesting comments. ‘Adar Paganiwalla’ commented one, while another had a request to make ‘Carnet it’! Afterall, it would be great to see a Huayra rolling on the Indian roads.

The vehicle shown in the video is a Left Hand Drive (LHD) unit, and this is raising questions considering London is a Right Hand Drive (RHD) market. It is not that the Huayra doesn’t have an RHD version. Pagani sells RHDs in countries like Singapore. Then why this car is an LHD remains a question.

The answer to that question can be found in the true identity of this car. If we are to trust registries, this Huayra should be from the Paul Bailey collection, further justified by its spec. The British businessman and author owns an extravagant collection of supercars and exotics. He is also the first British man to own the Holy Trinity of hypercars- Ferrari Laferrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder.

We don’t know what the arrangement is or if Bailey is selling his collectable off. It could also be the case that the Indian billionaire took Bailey’s car for a weekend date. Previously, Adar was also spotted driving the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 from the Bailey collection.

The Huayra is known for its brutal specifications. It is powered by a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine with direct fuel injection that produces 730 hp and 1001 Nm. The transmission on offer is a 7-speed AMT. The car gets a lightweight construction and is thus breathtakingly fast. 0-100 kph comes in just 3.0 seconds, as claimed by the manufacturer. Riding on Pirelli rubber, it has a top speed of 360 kph.

The Serum Institute CEO has also been spotted using a Pagani Zonda in the past. Many believed that he had bought it. However, recent reports suggest that the Silver Zonda was a rental from Rio Prestige hire. There’s no official word or certainty on this yet.

The Italian manufacturer isn’t one that launches new exciting products often. It has just a handful of well-engineered, limited in number, iconic, high-performance models in its portfolio. Launched in 2022, the Utopia is the most recent product from Pagani, and a spiritual successor to the Huayra.
