Woman Cricketer Shafali Verma Celebrates World Cup Win By Buying MG Cyberster Electric Sportscar

The Indian women's cricket team made everyone in the country proud after winning the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. Following this win, a number of the women cricket team players have been celebrating this momentous occasion. Of these, the famous cricketer Shafali Verma has done the same by buying herself a brand-new MG Cyberster electric sportscar.

Recently, MG India shared the images of Shefali Verma with her brand-new MG Cyberster. In these images, Verma can be seen standing at a cricket ground on which her electric sportscar was parked on a red carpet. She can be seen wearing a color-matching outfit on the occasion of this delivery.

A video of Shafali Verma taking delivery of her MG Cyberster has also been shared online. In this short clip, the cricketer can be seen arriving at the ground where her car was hidden inside a collapsible box. She then removes the ribbon off the box, and it collapses to reveal her MG Cyberster. Finally, she then shoots flares out of a flare gun and sits inside it and checks out its cabin.

The youngest Indian player to represent India in all three cricket formats, Shafali Verma has bought her MG Cyberster electric sportscar finished in the classy shade of Andes Grey. This color option comes with a red-colored soft top which looks very beautiful. MG is bringing the Cyberster via the CBU route to India and so far has sold over 256 units of this sportscar in the country.

This electric sportscar is the only one of its kind in the country at the moment, and it is priced at Rs 75 lakh, and it is only being offered in one variant. It comes powered by a dual electric motor setup which is capable of producing 510 hp and 725 Nm of peak torque. As for the battery pack, it gets a large 77 kWh unit which offers a claimed range of 580 km.

In terms of design, the MG Cyberster boasts the quintessential coupe design which looks even more beautiful when its electronic scissor doors are opened. On the front, it gets sleek LED headlights and large air vents on either side of the lower bumper. It also gets 20-inch alloy wheels and arrow-shaped rear LED taillights which add to its unique design.

Being a convertible, it gets a soft top which, as mentioned in Shafali’s car, is finished in red color. On the inside, the MG Cyberster comes loaded with technology. Its cabin includes two 7-inch auxiliary displays, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a vertically oriented 7-inch infotainment screen.

Just a few weeks ago, the Ba***ds of Bollywood actor Lakshya Lalwani was seen test driving the MG Cyberster EV in Mumbai. A number of reports stated that he bought this vehicle and it was his car in which he was seen. However, it was reported by us that he was on a test drive, and the same vehicle was test driven by Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan as well. Now whether Lalwani has bought the MG Cyberster electric sportscar or not has not been confirmed.
