Bollywood Actor Shahid Kapoor Spotted Driving Brand-New BMW M2 Coupe
Bollywood actors and stars are often noted for their flashy lifestyles and multi-crore garages. Shahid Kapoor, last seen in the 2025 action thriller Deva, has now added a brand-new BMW M2 coupe to his garage. The 44-year-old actor was recently seen with the car in Mumbai. A video shared online shows the car exiting a building’s (likely a hotel or a commercial complex) parking in style.
The Video
It opens by showing the M2 coming out of the parking area. It is finished in the Zandvoort Blue shade. This is an M-specific Uni palette option. A total of eight exterior colours are on offer (spread across the Metallic and Uni lines). The interior leather can be had in three colour themes- Vernasca Black with Red accents, Vernasca Black with Blue contrast stitching, and Vernasca Black with Exclusive highlight. Kapoor has opted for the first.
This car’s number plate reads ‘MH 01 FB 1815’. A quick search reveals that this has been registered in the name of the actor himself. As the M2 passes by the camera, we can see the actor in the driving seat, wearing casuals. Soon, it enters the road and drives away. The M2 coupe today has an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.03 Crores. The on-road cost in Mumbai is about 1.2 Crores.

The internet seems to have loved the video. Many fan pages have already reshared it. Netizens have been actively engaging with the content. Many called Kapoor the ‘coolest dad on the block’ for buying such a tasteful spec/colour. Some even complimented his ‘relaxed’ attitude and style, as he drove the 480 hp sports car.
A comment on the video reads ‘Shahid + supercar = double head-turner combo’. The M2, by the way, is an enthusiast favourite and has a huge fan following in many markets including India.

BMW launched the new M2 here in 2024. This compact sedan offers high performance and is extremely fun to drive. The 2024 update gave it more power, new colours, more features, and minor styling tweaks.
The design remains almost identical to that of its predecessor. The new coupe rides on new 19-inch front wheels and 20-inch rear ones. The standard car has these finished in Black. There is also the option to get these in Silver.
The M2 has always excelled with its performance and dynamics. These get better on the new coupe. Its turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six engine now makes 480 hp- 20hp more than the predecessor’s output. The torque too has gone up by 50Nm, and now stands at 600 Nm. The improvements in its powertrain have made the M2 faster. It now does the 0-100 kph sprint in just 4 seconds.
Both an 8-speed automatic and a six-speed manual transmission are offered on this car. The optional manual gearbox makes the 0-100kph sprint slightly slower- it takes 4.2 seconds. The new M2 has a top speed of 250kph. Speccing it with the optional M Driver’s package takes the top speed to 285kph.
The car has a Rear Wheel Drive layout (RWD) as standard. Speccing it with the optional M xDrive all-wheel drive system and adaptive M suspension will only make things better. The chassis and brakes have been fine-tuned by M for better dynamics and performance.
Inside, BMW has given the new M2 subtle changes that focuss on improving the occupants' comfort and convenience. It gets an improved infotainment system and the latest generation of BMW iDrive. The cabin now has more premium trims and elements. You get sports seats inside.
