Cricketer Shubman Gill Seen In Another Mercedes, This Time It's A G-Wagen [Video]
Indian cricket recently won the Asia Cup 2025 in a final match against Pakistan. From the very beginning, there were several controversies related to the tournament. We even witnessed a sequence of dramatic incidents after the final where the Indian cricket team refused to take the trophy from Mohsin Naqvi. We already know that cricket is one of the most celebrated sports in India and is also one of the highest-paying sports in the country. So, it is natural to see players lead a lavish lifestyle. Recently, Indian cricket team player Shubman Gill was seen in a G-Wagen stuck in a traffic jam in Delhi.
The video has been shared by Amit Nayak on his Instagram page. In this video, we see an orange-coloured G-Wagen slowly crawling through bumper-to-bumper traffic in Delhi. The camera zooms in and we notice a familiar face in the co-driver’s seat.
It is actually Shubman Gill, who is sitting on the co-passenger side. The luxury SUV is slowly moving through the traffic, and it looks like people around the G-Wagen have also spotted the car and recognised the person sitting in it. Shubman is not engaging with anyone and is looking at the phone in his hand.
We even see the driver waving at people and asking them not to disturb him or cause any inconvenience to the players or others on the road. The video ends abruptly after this. The car seen here in the video is a G63 AMG finished in a matte orange shade. The SUV is not clearly visible in the video, which means we are not sure if this is the collector’s edition of the G63 AMG or not.
We are also not sure if this is Shubman’s car. He is actually the brand ambassador for Mercedes-Benz in India, and he might have received the car for his use when he was in Delhi. If it is Shubman’s G63 AMG, then it would have easily cost him over Rs 4.30 crore, ex-showroom.
Coming to cars, Shubman Gill recently bought himself a brand-new Maybach GLS600. It is a very popular SUV among celebrities and businessmen in India and around the world. The SUV bought by the cricketer is the 2025 version, which comes with minor cosmetic changes like a slightly revised grille and monoblock wheels. The bumper also gets the Maybach logo on it.
The Maybach GLS600 is available with a host of premium features like reclining rear seats, a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, a 27-speaker sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, and much more. The car is powered by the same 4.0-litre V8 engine, accompanied by a 48V mild-hybrid system. The engine delivers a peak power output of 557 PS and 730 Nm of torque.
The hybrid system can provide an additional 22 PS and 250 Nm of torque on demand. A 9-speed automatic transmission channels the power to all four wheels. Prices for the Maybach GLS600 start at Rs 3.17 crore, ex-showroom.
