Famous Singer-Actor Dr Palash Sen Replaces Mahindra Thar With ROXX 'Because Of Mom'
Currently, there are a number of three-door Thar owners who are upgrading to the five-door Thar ROXX due to its lower height and practicality. Recently, one of the popular Bollywood singers, Palash Sen, also upgraded from his old three-door Thar to a Thar ROXX. In his post, he highlighted that the main reason behind getting this new SUV was his old mother, who could not comfortably get inside the three-door model.

The delivery video and images of the new Thar ROXX have been shared on Instagram by Palash Sen via his official Instagram handle - Instadhoom. In the short video, we can note that the singer took delivery of his brand-new Thar ROXX at the Mahindra dealership. He first threw back the black cover covering his SUV.
He also shared images of him clapping while seeing his SUV fully uncovered. The singer was also given the massive delivery key, and he shared images of himself standing next to his brand-new Thar ROXX. In his post, he stated, “Baby, we're bringing the noise, we're bringing the toys… Separating the men from the boys.”
Upgraded to Thar ROXX from three-door Thar
Palash Sen, via his Instagram post, mentioned that the main reason he upgraded to the Thar ROXX was because of his mother. He stated that his mother was never happy climbing into the Thar, so he exchanged his three-door SUV for the bigger and slightly lower version.
He also stated, “Jeeps are my passion… I don't really like sedans. Vaise, vehicles just get you from point A to point B, but a ROXX is a statement and it is Rock n Roll. Ab Ma bhi Khush, aur main bhi Khush.”
Mahindra Thar ROXX
From the images, we can note that the singer has chosen the top-of-the-line AX7L 4X2 variant of the Thar ROXX, finished in the bright shade of Tango Red. The top-of-the-line Thar ROXX comes loaded with features such as LED headlights with C-shaped LED DRLs, 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
It also comes equipped with a 9-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, digital driver display, wireless charger, automatic AC, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, and rear AC vents. The company also offers the Thar ROXX with a 4X4 system as well.
The list of Thar 4X4 features includes 4Xplor, which is a dedicated off-road system offering an Electronic Locking Differential (ELD), terrain modes, Crawl Smart, Intelli-turn Assist, and others. Powering the Thar ROXX is a 2.2L mHawk engine and a 2.0L mStallion petrol engine.
The diesel engine is offered in two states of tune. The lower state offers 150 bhp and 330 Nm of torque, while the more powerful tune offers 172 bhp and 400 Nm of torque. As for the petrol, it offers 160 bhp and 330 Nm of torque. Currently, the Mahindra Thar ROXX starts at Rs 12.99 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 23.39 lakh. Its direct rival is its own sibling, the Mahindra Scorpio-N.
