Skoda Kylaq Deliveries Commence: Variants Explained

Skoda launched its first-ever sub-4 meter SUV in the Indian market last year. While the official launch had occurred, the sub-4 meter SUV was yet to reach dealerships. We got a chance to drive the new Kylaq on the roads of Goa recently, and a detailed review of the same is available on our YouTube channel. The Kylaq has finally started arriving at dealerships, and deliveries for it have also begun across India.

With Kylaq Skoda aims to achieve the 1 lakh annual sales by 2026. Skoda Kylaq is available with a petrol engine only. It competes with the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV300. The Skoda Kylaq is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine that generates 115 PS and 178 Nm of peak torque. The SUV is available with manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
The Skoda Kylaq comes with features like ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, a twin-spoke steering wheel, leatherette upholstery, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED projector headlamps, and more. It offers standard safety features like six airbags, traction and stability control, anti-lock brakes, Electronic Brake Distribution, Brake Disc Wiping, Roll Over Protection, Motor Slip Regulation, Electronic Differential Lock, passenger airbag deactivation, Multi-Collision Braking, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more.
The SUV also boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.05 km/l for the manual version and 19.68 km/l for the automatic version. The Skoda Kylaq is available in Olive Gold, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Tornado Red, Candy White, Carbon Steel, and Brilliant Silver. The Skoda Kylaq is available in Classic, Signature, Signature+, and Prestige variants. The price for the Skoda Kylaq starts at ₹7.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹14.40 lakh (ex-showroom). Below is a variant-wise feature list for the Skoda Kylaq:
The base variant of the Skoda Kylaq comes with LED headlamps and DRLs, LED tail lamps, 16-inch steel rims, roof rails, six airbags, and the aforementioned standard safety features. It also includes adjustable headrests for all passengers, auto engine start/stop, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, power windows, an analog instrument cluster with a digital MID, manual AC, and fabric seats. The entry-level Classic version is only available in red, silver, and white shades. It is offered with a manual transmission only.
Apart from the features of the Classic variant, the Signature version gets 16-inch alloy wheels, TPMS, cruise control, a rear defogger, dual-tone dashboard finish, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, steering-mounted controls, a front center armrest, chrome garnish on AC vents, USB Type-C ports, a parcel tray, a cooled glovebox, and four speakers. This variant comes with both manual and automatic transmission options.
Over the Signature variant, the Signature+ variant adds a shark-fin antenna, Hill Hold Assist, keyless entry and go, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 60:40 split rear seats, electrically adjustable and folding ORVMs, auto headlamps with a follow-me-home function, a rear center armrest, and both manual and automatic transmission options.
The top-end Prestige variant features 17-inch alloy wheels, a rear wiper, rain-sensing front wipers, an auto-dimming IRVM, interior ambient lighting, paddle shifters (with the automatic variant), six-way powered and ventilated front seats, a wireless phone charger, and leatherette upholstery.
