skoda kylaq owner shares experience suv review

Skoda’s latest product, the Kylaq, has already reached dealerships, and deliveries have also started. The SUV is Skoda’s first sub-4-meter SUV in the segment. It rivals the likes of the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, and Mahindra XUV 3XO. We have started seeing videos of the Skoda Kylaq online, and here we have a video where a person who recently bought a Skoda Kylaq shares his experience.

The video has been shared by Paras Gaba on his YouTube channel. In this video, the owner mentions that he works as an IT engineer at a firm and was looking for a car for his family. When Skoda announced the Kylaq, he was interested in it. Before the Kylaq, he had shortlisted the Mahindra XUV 3XO, but he was not a big fan of the exterior design. When he started researching, he realized that the fuel efficiency of the 3XO was low.

When Skoda officially started bookings, the owner reserved his spot and made a booking. He was probably the first one in his area to take delivery of the Skoda Kylaq. The customer opted for the Signature Plus variant. He didn’t go for the top-end variant because he didn’t feel the need for an electric sunroof in his car.

The owner mentions that he was extremely happy with the looks and features that Skoda offers with this variant. He has driven the car for quite some kilometers and has not faced any major problems. While talking to the vlogger, the customer mentions that the 3-cylinder engine on the Kylaq feels very peppy and refined, and he feels that the cabin insulation is also decent.

He mentions that he has hardly touched speeds of 110 kmph in his new car, and during the trip, he has been getting good feedback in terms of driving. The owner even liked the ride quality of the Kylaq. The vlogger mentions that the ride of the car felt a bit bouncy but much better than most of its rivals.

The Kylaq even offered him a fuel economy of around 16 kmpl on his recent trip. The trip had a mix of both highways and city roads, and the number displayed was pretty good for an SUV in this segment. The customer opted for the manual version, and he mentions that the clutch doesn’t feel too heavy nor too light and is comfortable for his driving style.

The owner then talks about the things he didn’t like in the Kylaq. He mentions that the rear seats are only suitable for two passengers. Fitting a third passenger is a difficult task, as they wouldn’t be able to sit comfortably. The customer also mentions that he would have loved to have a 360-degree camera in the car. The quality of the reverse parking camera is also pretty bad.

The customer mentions that he has taken the service package from Skoda for a couple of years, and he also expects the prices of service and parts to go down in the future as Skoda is manufacturing this SUV in India.

Apart from this, the customer has not found any cons in his Kylaq. He wanted a safe car with a good engine within his budget, and the Skoda Kylaq ticked all the boxes. He is definitely enjoying his new drive, and he even recommends the Skoda Kylaq to others.
