Brand New Skoda Slavia Driven Off Ramp During Delivery: High Ground Clearance Saves The Day [Video]
Buying a new car is one of the best feelings for any man or woman. This feeling is amplified on the day of delivery of the new vehicle with a warm welcome from the dealership. Unfortunately, sometimes deliveries turn into nightmares and they can go wrong as well. Recently, a video has become viral online in which a Skoda Slavia owner was seen almost causing huge damage to his new sedan while taking it out of the dealership.
Skoda Slavia delivery almost went wrong
This video showing the Skoda Slavia delivery going wrong has been shared on YouTube by Deepak Cars World on their channel. It starts off with a man getting handed over the dummy key to his brand-new white-colored Skoda Slavia sedan, soon after which the cameraman gives a detailed walkaround of the vehicle. It can be noted that the vehicle is pristine.
Following this, the owner of the vehicle took the driving seat of this particular Skoda Slavia and had to drive it out of the dealership floor. The video shows that to get to the road, the vehicle had to be driven off a ramp which had steps in the middle. The gradient of this particular ramp was not very steep and was easily drivable.
What happened next?
Soon after this, what happens is that the owner of this vehicle first turns it slightly left to come out of the dealership's glass front door. He then starts driving it straight ahead and gets on the ramp. However, instead of going straight ahead, he turns the steering wheel towards the left. We can see that all the people standing outside the dealership were guiding him to keep the steering wheel straight.
However, the driver did not seem to understand what they were saying and kept driving after turning left. Thankfully, due to the decent ground clearance of 179 mm and the ramp not being too steep and having a staircase in the middle, the vehicle safely came off it. Had the driver turned the steering a little before, the vehicle would have fallen off the ramp and caused a lot of damage.
Even worse deliveries
The above Skoda Slavia delivery was, although very close to becoming a bad car delivery, saved due to a couple of factors. However, a little while ago, a video became viral online which showed what an actual delivery gone wrong looks like. In this short clip, a brand-new Nissan Magnite was seen crashed and the owner of it was seen crying on the side of the road with his wife next to him.
This short clip showed a crashed Nissan Magnite coming towards the side of the road in Pune, Maharashtra. We can note that this particular vehicle was decorated with a big garland which signified that the delivery was taken just a few moments ago. The video also shows that the front-left portion of this sub-compact SUV was damaged.
We can observe that the front-left headlight of this Magnite was missing and the front bumper along with the front-left fender were badly damaged as well. Soon after this, the clip shows the owner of this vehicle sitting on the footpath and crying. He was wiping his tears off while his wife standing next to him was consoling him. This was a truly heartbreaking video and many netizens empathized with the owner.
