Social Media Influencer Rajat Dalal Buys Land Rover Defender [Video]
Social media has become a crucial part of our lives and many people have picked up content creation as a full-time job as well. There are many names that people recognize too. Rajat Dalal is one such name. He is a social media influencer and a Big Boss contestant. He recently posted a video on his social media profile where he is seen taking delivery of a brand-new SUV – a Land Rover Defender 130.
The influencer has posted images and videos of his new car on his social media profile. In the video, we see Rajat Dalal with his parents taking delivery of the Land Rover Defender in a typical Indian way. Like any Indian household, the car was welcomed into the family after a religious ritual.
We see Rajat’s mother performing puja on their new car while the social media influencer and his father stand next to it. Once the puja is done, a lemon or a coconut is usually placed in front of the wheels, and the car is supposed to be driven over it. We see the Defender being driven over a coconut as part of the ritual.
Once this is done, Rajat Dalal drives the car a bit forward and asks his mother to get inside the car and start the vehicle. He guides her as she is not familiar with the vehicle and once that happens, Rajat poses for pictures with his family and friends. We even see his fans approaching him for selfies.
Rajat Dalal has bought a white-coloured Land Rover Defender SUV. This is the 130 which is slightly longer than the regular 110 5-door variant. Cost of a brand new Land Rover Defender 130 starts at Rs 1.48 crore, ex-showroom.
Defenders have become extremely popular among celebrities, rich social media influencers, businessmen, and politicians in the country. The Defender is a legendary SUV and is popular in off-road circles. However, the reason why it caught the attention of many buyers in its new avatar is because it offers a variety of premium features without compromising on its off-road capabilities.
The Defender is available with both petrol and diesel engine options, and we are not sure which variant Rajat bought. Rajat Dalal has often been in the news for one reason or another. He has posted several videos in the past where he is seen driving recklessly on public roads.
In a video posted years ago, Rajat Dalal, during the test drive of a Volkswagen car, was seen changing lanes recklessly while a woman staff member was sitting in the co-passenger seat. The woman was scared, and Rajat even caused an accident after cutting in front of a bike. To this, the social media influencer responded by saying that such incidents happen daily and there’s nothing to worry about.
This happened some time ago, and we really hope that Rajat Dalal doesn’t drive like this anymore. Reckless behaviour like this on the road causes accidents, and sometimes innocent road users who were not at fault end up paying the price. Public roads are for everyone, and they are not a space for anyone to perform stunts.
