Social media influencers often look for ways to create viral content to maintain traction and engagement on their pages. They are frequently seen performing stunts on public roads with cars and bikes, which often lands them in trouble. However, it seems they never learn or even attempt to behave properly on the road. Here, we have a video of a social media influencer, Rajat Dalal, driving a car at 140 km/h on busy city roads.
The video was shared by a social media user with the username “TheSkywalker.” It appears to have been recorded somewhere in the Delhi NCR region. Rajat Dalal is seen behind the wheel of a Volkswagen car, which looks like a Virtus sedan. A woman is sitting in the front passenger seat, and a person in the rear seat is recording the video.
Rajat Dalal is a well-known bodybuilder and Instagram fitness influencer. He has a fitness page with almost 536,000 followers. In this video, he is seen driving recklessly on a busy city road, weaving through traffic at high speeds while other road users maintain a safe speed.
He is shown changing lanes without any proper indication and, at times, changing multiple lanes at once. This is extremely dangerous, as a vehicle approaching from behind could easily collide with his car. The woman in the front passenger seat appears frightened and is heard asking Rajat Dalal to slow down. However, he ignores her and continues to drive recklessly.
He swerves the car left and right without any consideration for other road users. At one point, a biker seems to lose control and fall after Rajat cuts his car in front of him. The woman expresses concern about the biker, mentioning that he fell, but Rajat casually replies that such incidents happen daily and there’s nothing to worry about.
He continues driving on the highway, and just before stopping at a toll plaza, Rajat notices that the person in the rear seat is recording the video. The video ends abruptly. It is evident from the footage that Rajat did not care about the safety of other road users, which is a serious issue.
Driving is a responsible act, and one should always be mindful of both their vehicle and their surroundings. The comments section under the video is filled with negative feedback. Some users wrote: “Such people should be given belt treatment in the middle of the road. Breaking the law has become a daily routine for people like them — threatening, kidnapping, urinating on people, bullying — just for the sake of views.” Another comment stated, “The country is governed by the constitution and law, so the police must take action, and stricter measures should be enforced, especially for influencers.”
The video has gone viral on the internet, and it seems no action has been taken against the influencer yet. By driving in such an irresponsible manner, the influencer risked not only his life but also the lives of his passengers and other road users.
It is disappointing that he didn’t even bother to stop and check on the biker who fell due to his reckless driving. We urge the authorities to review this video and take the necessary action against the influencer for his behavior.
