The Bullet continues to retain the same number plate, but has undergone a thorough restoration. It now has new body panels, tank embellishments and other components. The son, who goes by the name Akhil Krishna on Instagram, has explained the story behind getting the Bullet back. He says that it took him much effort to track down the current owner. After searching for over two years, he came to know that the vehicle was now in Tirur, Kerala. He got in touch with the current owner and explained why he wanted it back.

Soon, Akhil went to Tirur to check out the Bullet. He says that he was in tears the moment he saw the motorcycle. It wasn't in its best form, but he was determined to get it fixed and restored.

Days and weeks of hard work finally paid off when the Bullet was fully restored and ready to be handed over. This vehicle admittedly has one of the cleanest restorations done to it. It manages to retain all its glory.
