Mahindra as a car manufacturer has come a long way. They now have a variety of products in their lineup ranging from utilitarian vehicles like the Bolero to highly sophisticated and premium XUV 9E. Mahindra is not only selling these vehicles in India but some of these are going abroad as well. Mahindra is growing in Australia and South Africa as well, and recently the brand shared images of three South African cricketers taking delivery of their brand new XUV700.

The images have been shared by Mahindra Auto Global on their Instagram page. In this post, we see three iconic cricketers from South Africa — Jonty Rhodes, Allan Donald, and Reeza Hendricks — take delivery of their brand new Mahindra XUV700 SUV.

The XUV700 seen here, bought by the cricketers, is actually not your regular version. They have gone for XUV700 SUVs with their own branding on them. In the short video posted by Mahindra South Africa, we see Jonty Rhodes receiving the keys to his brand new XUV700. Allan Donald and Reeza Hendricks are also seen in this short clip next to their cars.

Mahindra is actually gaining popularity in countries like Australia and South Africa mainly because they are offering SUVs that look premium and offer a long list of features. The main reason why many are attracted is because these cars are offered at a very competitive price even in the foreign market, making them a value-for-money product.

Jonty Rhodes, Allan Donald, and Reeza Hendricks are not the only popular personalities who own a Mahindra abroad. Former Australian cricketer Matthew Hayden is also part of the Mahindra family. In fact, he is the brand ambassador for Mahindra in Australia. He had bought a Mahindra Scorpio N SUV in white, and his daughter Grace Hayden, who is also a social media personality and works with Star Sports India as a TV presenter, bought a brand new XUV700.

Mahindra XUV700 is one of the most technologically advanced ICE vehicles from the Indian brand. In the last couple of years, Mahindra has managed to sell over 2.5 lakh units, which shows how popular this SUV is.

Mahindra is offering features like seat ventilation, leatherette upholstery, electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, multi-function steering wheel, large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, Level 2 ADAS, and many more.

Mahindra XUV700 is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol version of the SUV is powered by a 2.0-litre mStallion turbocharged engine that generates 200 PS and 380 Nm of peak torque. The diesel version uses a 2.2-litre mHawk turbocharged engine that generates 155 PS and 360 Nm in lower trims and 185 PS and 450 Nm in the higher variants.

Both petrol and diesel versions are available with manual and automatic transmission options. The top-end AX7 L variant of the XUV700 diesel also gets AWD as an optional feature. The price for the Mahindra XUV700 in India starts at Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs 25.14 lakh (ex-showroom).
