Mystery Behind India's First 'Stretched' Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 SOLVED!
The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is already an exclusive luxury car, which sits on top of all Toyota models in India. This SUV is already a rare sight in India. However, seeing one completely modified is an even rarer sight. Recently, a video became viral on the internet in which a blue-colored Land Cruiser LC300 has been stretched out in the middle. This vehicle managed to gain a lot of interest from the public; however, up until now, its details were hidden.
Now, finally, it has been revealed that this particular stretched-out Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is a project which has been created by none other than the Indian designer Dilip Chhabria. Recently, the company has shared two videos showing their latest and most unique—and probably one of the most expensive—customized cars, the stretched Land Cruiser LC300.
From the video, we can first note the right LED headlight of this particular Land Cruiser LC300 as shown. Following this, the video then shows a digitally rendered clip of a standard purplish-blue-colored LC300 getting stretched from the middle and getting an additional roof extension. Soon after this, the clip then shows the same vehicle coming into reality.

After showing this particular Land Cruiser LC300 from the side, the video then shows its main highlight, which is its completely customized interior. We can note that the additional space created by chopping the LC300 and then adding a middle section has resulted in the extension of the wheelbase of this vehicle.
As a result of this, the company was able to add a sofa inside the vehicle just behind the driver and front passenger compartment. Although the video does not show it, most likely there are two captain’s seats in the SUV, which get all the creature comfort features such as reclining, ventilation, massage, and others.
We can also observe that the vehicle gets a completely customized interior with premium leather and wood trims and ambient lighting. There is also the addition of a Rolls-Royce-like starlight headliner, and it also has hardwood floors, which elevate the overall premium appeal of this unique stretched Land Cruiser LC300. Currently, the company has just shown the teaser, and most likely a longer video will be shared online.
Cost of this modification
At the moment, there has been no announcement from DC2 about the pricing of this stretched Land Cruiser LC300. Our guess is that all of these modifications, including the stretching of the LC300, addition of all the luxury interior components, and other modifications, must have cost in the range of Rs 50 lakh to 1 crore. However, as stated, the official cost has not been revealed by DC2.
Toyota Land Cruiser LC300
The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is the top-of-the-line SUV in the Toyota India lineup and costs Rs 2.41 crore. Toyota offers the LC300 with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, multi-zone automatic climate control, powered and ventilated front seats, and a 14-speaker JBL audio system.
Powering the LC300 is a 3.3-liter V6 turbo diesel engine that generates a maximum of 309 PS and 700 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission as standard. The petrol version of the Land Cruiser is available with a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged engine that generates 415 PS and 650 Nm of peak torque.
