Border 2 Actor Sunny Deol Takes His Land Rover Defender Octa To Baralacha La Mountain Pass: Images
Sunny Deol is one of the popular actors in Bollywood. The actor-turned-politician represents the Gurdaspur constituency in Punjab in the Lok Sabha. Apart from acting and politics, Sunny Deol is also known to travel. After finishing the shooting of movies and projects, he is known to go on road trips. Pictures of one such recent trip have now gone viral on the internet, where Sunny Deol is seen in a completely new avatar.
The images were shared by Koimoi on their Instagram page. In this post, we see Sunny Deol enjoying the views while sitting on the bonnet of his Land Rover Defender. The actor finished shooting for his upcoming movie Border 2 and decided to go on a road trip to relax.
We have usually seen Sunny with a beard and moustache, but in these photos, he is clean-shaven, and we assume it was done for the movie. In the images, he has parked his Defender on the Baralacha La, which is a mountain pass at an altitude of 16,040 feet. It looks like the actor drove himself in the Defender - not just a regular Defender, but the Defender Octa, which he recently bought.
He is, in fact, the first and probably the only actor from the industry to own the Defender Octa. This is not the first time he has done something like this. A couple of years ago, when he bought his first Land Rover Defender 110, he took the car on a road trip to the mountains in North India. He even tested the capabilities of the vehicle by driving it off-road. The Defender 110 is finished in a Fuji White shade, but the Octa is finished in a matte grey/green shade.

This is the most powerful version of the Defender on sale in India. The Defender Octa is priced at around Rs 2.8 crore (ex-showroom). When compared to the regular Defender, the Octa Edition One gets new front and rear bumpers, a larger grille, wider side wheel arches, new 20-inch alloy wheels, and a quad exhaust setup. The Defender Octa Edition One comes powered by a massive 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which also gets mild-hybrid assist.
As mentioned above, this is the most powerful version of the Defender on sale in India, and it generates 626 bhp and 750 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
Apart from the two Defenders, Sunny Deol also owns cars like the Range Rover Autobiography LWB, Volkswagen Tiguan, Porsche 911 GT3 Touring, and more. He has mentioned in a media interview that he is a big Porsche fan.

Sunny Deol’s upcoming movie Border 2 has finished shooting. As per reports, the original Border movie was based on the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Border 2 is not a direct sequel but rather a film set during the same war, featuring new stories and battles. The film will highlight the bravery and heroism of the Indian Armed Forces during the conflict.
