SUV Driver Makes Rash Bus Reverse, Go Back To The ‘Correct’ Lane [Video]

Arrogant drivers violating traffic rules and lane manners aren’t new to us. Why? Because we live in India and this is what happens on our roads. A recent video from Kerala shows a rather interesting incident that deserves a watch or two and at least an hour in discussion! It shows a private bus being stopped by an SUV driver as it had violated lanes and further to reverse into the correct lane. Not everyone dares to do this. Nevertheless, the video is satisfying to watch.

The video starts by showing the hood of what looks like a moving Thar. The SUV is doing decent speed till when suddenly a private bus pops up at the scene and comes head-on. He was trying to overtake a Maruti Swift on a narrow road, taking the wrong lane. The SUV driver hits the brakes immediately. Both vehicles come to a stop safely, though with a very short distance left between the two.

Overspeeding and arrogant private buses are quite common in Kerala. Many a time, they cause incidents and public inconvenience, but the practice goes on unaltered. The bus driver here seems to belong to the same school of arrogant, rash driving.

The SUV driver decides to teach him a lesson and makes no effort to move his vehicle to the side and make way for the bus. Usually, private bus drivers are extremely sensitive to time caps and go rough on the throttle to meet these. Thus each minute lost will matter to them. The SUV driver decides to knock on the same soft spot. He refuses to move his Thar and make way for the bus to resume its journey. The bus driver tries to bail out by moving his vehicle to the other side but realises that the same isn’t possible.

Finally, the bus reverses to generate more room and sneak out. Sensing this, the SUV inches forward and seals the gap. The SUV driver manages to waste a minute or two of the bus’ time and finally decides to let them go, as the game was causing inconvenience to the public and vehicles around. The bus driver makes no attempt to shout back or put up a fight against the SUV, as he knows that it was his mistake.

As the bus makes a leave, the SUV driver asks the other guy ‘ why did you do this? You knew it was a turn and that you are on the wrong side. This throws more light on the gravity of this incident. The bus seems to have come from a turn, with limited visibility and the same could have resulted in a crash. We saw how close the two vehicles were when they both came to a halt.

The video has sparked discussions online. The SUV driver won the applause of many. Looks like Keralites are already pissed off by the ruthless rash driving of private buses in the place. There are, however, people who criticize the SUV driver’s action as it caused inconvenience to the public.

These buses often cause accidents and damage to property and people. One of the most recent instances is from Paravur, where a private bus recently rammed into a tree injuring at least 38 people! In another incident in October last year, one was killed and over 20 injured when another bus hit a truck in Kochi.
