Bollywood Actress Tamannaah Bhatia Buys New Range Rover Velar SUV [Video]
Tamannaah Bhatia is a popular Indian actress who is estimated to have a net worth of over 120 Crores (as of 2024). She works in both Bollywood and South Indian films and has had a successful acting career. The 35-year-old actress has now added a new luxury SUV to her garage- the Land Rover Range Rover Velar.
Tamannaah seems to have purchased the new Velar on March 25, 2025. She is currently awaiting the release of her new movie Odela 2, which will hit the screens on April 17. Prior to its trailer launch, the actress visited Shri Babulnath Mandir, a temple in Mumbai, to seek blessings. She arrived at the temple in the new Velar, surrounded by paparazzi. It seems to have the Arroios Grey colourway and 20-inch Style 1089 wheels.
New Range Rover Velar: More About It
Land Rover launched the 2024 Range Rover Velar in India in September 2023. The Velar is currently available in just a single, fully loaded HSE trim. It is offered in two variants- D200 and P250. The D200 is powered by a diesel mild hybrid engine, while the P250 houses a four-cylinder petrol engine under its hood. It looks like the actress has opted for the petrol powertrain.
The 2024 update brings minor design changes to the Velar. The SUV now features a revised grille, sleeker tail lamps, a large rear overhang, and new Pixel LED headlights which are claimed to reduce glare for oncoming traffic.
The colour palette has also been revised. In 2025, the Range Rover Velar offers a choice of five colours spread across three segments-solid, metallic and premium metallic. Fuji White is the solid colour option while the metallic palette consists of Santorini Black, Varesine Blue and Arroios Grey. Zadar Grey remains the only Premium metallic colourway on offer. The Varesine Blue and Zadar Grey were introduced on the new SUV.
Step inside the 2024 Velar and you'll find a clutter-free cabin with generous use of premium and luxurious trims and materials. The central 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touchscreen is now home to most controls and has wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto included. Voice support from Amazon Alexa is also built-in.
The interior features premium Windsor leather upholstery, available in Caraway/Ebony and Deep Garnet/Ebony colour themes. The equipment array on the refreshed Velar includes wireless phone charging, four-zone climate control, 20-way powered front seats with massage, heating, and cooling, driver’s memory settings, powered rear seats, 360-degree camera system, air purifier, metal pedals and ambient lighting. The SUV also features a fixed panoramic sunroof and Active noise cancellation.
The new Velar also comes with a 400W, 11-speaker Meridian audio system and support for Over-the-air updates.
The diesel Velar produces 201 bhp and 430 Nm courtesy of its 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 0-100 kph sprint here takes just 8.3 seconds. The 2.0L petrol engine can churn out 296 bhp and 400 Nm. It makes the SUV sprint to 100 kph from a standstill in just 7.5 seconds.
Both engines are paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and come equipped with Land Rover’s Terrain Response 2 system as well. The Velar's rivals include the Porsche Macan, Audi Q7, Mercedes Benz GLE and the BMW X5.

The actress owns several other cars and SUVs. She has over the years owned vehicles like Audi Q7, Land Rover Discovery Sport, BMW 320i, Mercedes Benz GLE and a Pajero Sport. It is likely that some of these might have been sold off or replaced.
