Tamil Movie Star Dhanush Buys Rolls Royce Spectre Worth Rs 7.50 Crore [Video]

Rolls Royce is a name that is actually the epitome of luxury in cars. Rolls Royce cars are an aspirational product for many. Many billionaire businessmen in India own cars from this British brand. However, just like all car manufacturers, Rolls Royce also had to go electric and they introduced their first ever electric sedan Spectre few years ago. The Spectre was launched in India last year and since then it has found several customers. Tamil movie star Dhanush is one of the recent popular personalities to actually buy this electric luxury sedan worth Rs 7.5 crore.
The video has been shared by Automobili Ardent India on their Instagram page. In this video, we see a Rolls Royce Spectre finished in a beautiful shade of Midnight Sapphire (a shade of Deep Blue) on the road. The car doesn’t have a registration number which means, the actor only bought the car recently.
The Rolls Royce Sapphire has actually become quite popular among the rich customers in India. As per the post, the Rolls Royce Spectre is getting popular among celebrities in South India. Many of them are waiting for the deliveries while some have already picked up the car. The comments under this post mention that this is not the only Rolls Royce that Dhanush owns. He is said to own a Rolls Royce Ghost as well.
Other than the newly bought Rolls Royce Spectre, Dhanush also bought a BMW 7-Series luxury sedan in 2023. The Spectre was actually launched internationally in October 2022 and it was officially launched in India only last year. Spectre is a ultra-luxury 2-door electric coupe which is available with a long list of luxury features.
Rolls Royce has not compromised on the design part of this EV. It continues to feature the signature Rolls-Royce grille with the spirit of ecstasy on the long bonnet. We see sleek looking dual-function LED DRLs and headlamps on the bumper. The colour of the bonnet and the grille can be customised as per customer request. The coupe-like sloping roof meets the tailgate of the electric car. We see the clear lens tail light of the Spectre in this video.
The Spectre uses massive 23 inch wheels which for some reason do not look too big on the Rolls Royce. The design of the wheels are actually different from the one seen on ICE versions of Rolls Royce. We only get to see the exterior of the Rolls Royce in this video. The car gets several customisation options and we are not sure what the actor has opted for.
Usually, we have seen Spectre with features like starlight roof, premium leather upholstery, wooden and glass panel inserts on dashboard, electric seats, multi-zone climate control and so on. Spectre weighs around 3 tonnes, and the electric motor generates 593 PS and 900 Nm of peak torque. The ultra-luxury 2-door coupe is powered by a 102 kWh battery pack
This electric car has a claimed range of 520 km. As this is an EV, the Spectre can do 0-100 kmph in just 4.5 seconds and that is impressive for a car that weighs around 3 tonnes.
As mentioned above, the base price of the Rolls Royce Spectre is Rs 7.5 crore, ex-showroom. Depending on the customisations that the customer opts, the prices go up.
