Tata is one of the leading electric vehicle manufacturers in India, and last year, they launched the coupe SUV Curvv in both ICE and EV formats. The Curvv.ev has been receiving a good response from customers, and we have seen people review the car after months of ownership. However, we recently came across a video where a Curvv.ev owner was seen utilizing the V2L feature of the EV to make tea in an electric kettle. Here, we have another video where the Curvv.ev owner is seen making poori using his electric SUV.

The video has been shared by Ram Gothwal on his Instagram page. This is the same person who made tea using an electric kettle while stuck in a traffic jam caused by heavy snowfall. It looks like the Curvv.ev owner has now returned from his trip and is at a different location. This time, he has an induction cooktop connected to the charging port of the Curvv.ev.

We see the owner frying poori, or puri, which is a type of deep-fried bread, in oil. The video shows how effortlessly the cooktop works without any issues. Usually, during road trips, people rely on roadside restaurants and hotels for food. However, with an EV, this issue is resolved. One doesn’t have to carry butane gas cans and camping stoves for such road trips.

The comment section under this video has several interesting remarks, such as, “Tata itself wouldn’t have done such experiments with the EV,” and “Curvv be like: My powers are being misused.” Most of the users were curious about how the owner was managing to draw power back from the EV. They also asked how this would affect the battery percentage of the car.

For those who are unaware, this feature is called V2L or Vehicle-to-Load. This is a common feature in most modern electric cars. Using this feature, you can power external electrical devices when needed. It is even capable of powering a house if necessary. There is a V2L gun that one can buy online and connect to the vehicle’s charging port.

This gun would then draw power back from the batteries and power the electrical appliances. The Curvv.ev is available in two variants. There is a 45 kWh and a 55 kWh battery pack variant on offer.

It looks like the EV seen in the video is the larger battery version. The EV comes in five variants: Creative, Accomplished, Accomplished+, Empowered, and Empowered+.

The 45 kWh battery pack variant has a claimed driving range of 502 km on a single charge, while the 55 kWh variant has a claimed range of 585 km. The 45 kWh version generates 148 Bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque, while the larger battery variant generates 165 Bhp and 215 Nm of peak torque.

The price for a brand-new Curvv.ev starts at Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 21.99 lakh (ex-showroom). 2025 is going to be an exciting year for Tata as they are expected to launch more EVs like the Harrier.ev, Safari.ev, and also the Sierra. These upcoming EVs would only help Tata to strengthen their position in the EV segment.
