Tata Harrier Flips After Maruti Swift Driver Makes Abrupt U-Turn: Sturdy Build Saves Passengers

Speeding on Indian roads is already extremely dangerous because the quality of roads is extremely poor. However, what makes speeding even more dangerous is the presence of stupid drivers on the road. Recently, a video showing how one stupid Maruti Suzuki Swift driver’s abrupt U-turn caused a Tata Harrier to lose control, flip over, and fall off a road into a field has been shared online. Thankfully, the occupants were safe because of the superb build quality of the Tata Harrier.

This video showing the crash of a Tata Harrier with a Maruti Suzuki Swift has been shared on YouTube by Raftaar on their channel. Initially, the video clip shows a completely destroyed Tata Harrier. However, soon after this, it shows how it got to that state. A CCTV footage clip attached in the video shows a Tata Harrier drifting towards the right lane on the road and then going into an open field.

Maruti Suzuki Swift U-turn causes Harrier crash

We can note the field was around 10–15 feet off the road, and the Harrier had flipped over and fell. The video then shows what exactly caused this accident. A different CCTV footage from another angle shows a white-colored Maruti Suzuki Swift making a U-turn on a single-lane road.

This particular driver first waited for the road to get clear and then, without taking note of the other side, made the U-turn. Unfortunately, at this exact time, a speeding Tata Harrier was coming from the other side, and as there was no way for the Harrier to pass, it crashed into the Swift.

It can be seen that although the Swift had not suffered a significant amount of damage, the same could not be said about the Harrier. As the Harrier was carrying a lot of speed, after making contact with the Swift, the driver could not keep the vehicle on the road. This caused the vehicle to fall off the road into the open field, where it flipped over.

Aftermath of this accident

We can note that soon after the Tata Harrier crashed, a number of people standing on the side of the road crossed it and went to check on the Harrier occupants. It was reported that, thankfully, all the passengers of the Harrier escaped unhurt. However, the vehicle was completely destroyed as a result of the flip-over.

Once again, the Tata Harrier has proved that its five-star safety rating is worth the extra price. The Harrier was the first car to be crash-tested by Bharat NCAP. This SUV managed to score 30.08 points out of 32 in adult protection. Additionally, it also scored 44.54 out of 49 points in child occupant protection. Overall, it managed to score a perfect 5-star safety rating.

Not the first time Harrier has proved its worth

Recently, another video became viral on the internet in which a speeding Harrier, likely driven by a drunk young female, crashed on the Adchini road in Delhi. Thankfully, due to the sturdy build quality of this mid-size SUV, the two occupants of this Harrier were completely safe.
