No matter how carefully you drive on Indian roads, there is always a chance that you can get involved in an extremely serious accident, despite driving with utmost caution. Recently, an accident from Telangana has been reported in which a Tata Punch was crushed by two buses. As per reports, the first bus braked abruptly, and the Punch driver was able to avoid a collision. However, another bus at the rear of the Punch could not brake in time and crushed the car.

The video clip showing the aftermath of this dangerous accident has been shared on X by PTI on their page. In the short clip, we can note that a tropical mist-colored Tata Punch micro-SUV was stuck in the rear left side of a private bus. The entire front end of this Punch was damaged. The bonnet was mangled, the front bumper was broken in half, and all the cooling system components were destroyed.

Additionally, the windshield of this vehicle was broken, and most likely, there has been extensive damage to the engine as well. It can also be seen that the entire roof of the vehicle has been damaged. The clip then shows the bus that crashed into this Punch from the rear. Its front end was also heavily damaged. The headlights, front bumper, grille, and windshield were broken.

Moving on, the video then shows the rear end of this particular Tata Punch. It can be observed that the impact was very strong, as the entire rear end was pushed into the vehicle. The rear tailgate, bumper, windshield, roof, and other major components were damaged as well. It can be seen that the vehicle was stuck in the rear of the bus in front, and when the bus was being driven slowly, the Punch was also getting dragged.

More details of this accident

According to reports, this particular accident took place near Chityal on the Vijayawada–Hyderabad National Highway. It happened near a culvert where the first bus halted suddenly. It has been mentioned that there were a total of three occupants inside the Punch when the accident took place. The name of the person who suffered a serious head injury is Gurre Josh Kumar.

He is a software engineer from Kondapur, Hyderabad. Along with him were his colleagues, Challa Sriharsha and Payal Murali, who are both from Nandigama. Both of them suffered a few minor injuries. The three colleagues, who work for the same company, were heading to Hyderabad for work from Nandigama.

What happened was that a private company bus in front of them suddenly stopped near a culvert, following which the car driver also braked and stopped to avoid a collision. However, a second private bus from the rear was coming towards the car, and its driver could not stop in time. As a result, the bus rammed into the car, crushing it between the two buses.

Following the accident, locals and police authorities rushed to the spot and quickly rescued the passengers trapped inside the mangled car. After this, all three occupants were taken to the Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally. It was then reported that as Sriharsha’s condition was serious, he was shifted to Hyderabad for advanced medical care. Currently, the police are further investigating the case.
