Driving on Indian roads is not for the faint-hearted, and we have come across various incidents in the past that prove us right. Hundreds of accidents happen on our roads every day, and only a few get reported. It is because of these reasons that people have started taking the build quality of their vehicles seriously. Here we have an example where a truck on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway lost control and crashed into multiple vehicles. One of the vehicles was a Tata Safari, which was seriously damaged, but the occupants escaped miraculously.

The video has been shared by Prateek Singh on his Instagram page. In this video, the vlogger has posted the footage with a caption stating that the accident happened on July 26, 2025. The video was recorded by a person who was driving behind the container truck that lost control.

In the video, we can clearly see that the truck driver is overtaking a trailer from the right lane, and soon after overtaking, he changes lanes. The driver was probably trying to slow down, but he had already lost his brakes. There was no pressure on the brakes, and he was frantically looking for a safe spot. He crashed the truck into the safety wall on the expressway, but it was of no use.

The truck was fast, and it bounced back onto the road after crashing into the wall. It rear-ended a vehicle in front and crashed into many more vehicles on the road. One such vehicle on the expressway was the Tata Safari.

In the video, we can see that the Tata Safari is completely destroyed in the accident. The body panels, roof, tailgate, and doors are all deformed after the crash. It looks like the Tata Safari was caught between the truck and another vehicle.

We can also see that the Safari is completely damaged and the airbags have deployed. The windshield, window glass, and even the panoramic sunroof are shattered. It was without any doubt a very serious accident. However, the occupants in the Safari SUV escaped the accident without any serious injuries. There were three people in the Safari, and we can see all three sitting in the car as the locals and passersby gathered.

In fact, we see two of them speaking to someone on the phone. All three of them appear unhurt in the video. There are no visible injuries, but it is always a good idea to get yourself checked after such accidents to ensure there are no internal injuries.

This is not the first time we have seen a Tata car save the lives of occupants in a major accident. Heavy vehicles like buses and trucks on Indian roads use air brakes. This system relies on compressed air, generated by a compressor connected to the vehicle’s engine. The compressed air is stored in multiple tanks and is later utilized to apply the brakes.

When a driver uses the brakes too much, the amount of air pressure decreases, and the brakes are not as effective as they should be. In such cases, the brakes lose pressure, and the vehicle cannot be stopped. We are not sure if that is what happened in this case or if there was any other issue with the system.

Whatever the case may be, the Tata Safari occupants were extremely lucky to have escaped unhurt from an accident like this.
