One video that has gone viral on the internet in the last couple of weeks is of the Harrier.ev. In the video, we see the all-new electric SUV from the Indian manufacturer climbing a steep and dangerous hill in Kerala. This particular hill is called “Aana Paara,” which translates to Elephant Rock. Weeks after the official TVC was released, we now have another video where a Tata Tiago EV owner is seen attempting to climb the same hill in his electric hatchback. Did he manage to pull off the stunt? Let’s find out.

The video has been shared by Shanu P. Aliyar on his Instagram page. In this video, the owner of the Tata Tiago.ev is seen with his car at the same location where Tata shot the TVC. The location is in Idukki and is a tourist destination. After watching the Harrier.ev TVC, the owner of the Tata Tiago.ev got a bit carried away by emotions and decided to show that even his small Tiago.ev was capable of doing the stunt.

He asks his friend to guide him properly to avoid hitting the rocks and to get the right line. He started driving the car uphill slowly, but suddenly a security guard appeared and started following the car. He asked the driver to stop the vehicle and go back.

The guard told him he could not do the stunt, and if he really wanted to prove his car’s capability, he should get permission from the authorities first. The Tata Tiago.ev driver did try to act smart and continue with the stunt, but locals and tourists soon got involved in the issue and all asked the driver to back off.

We stand with the locals and appreciate the security guard for doing his duty properly. He mentioned that Tata had secured proper permission to do such stunts, which is why they were able to do it in a safe and controlled manner.

The track through which the Harrier.ev was driven is not a proper road. It was an extremely dangerous 34-degree incline, which even the Harrier.ev struggled to climb. In this case, the Tiago.ev might not have been able to complete the stunt, and the chances of the car sliding and falling off the hill were also quite high.

It should be noted that the Tiago.ev is not a powerful electric hatchback that generates a huge amount of power. It is a small, front-wheel-drive hatchback. It might have easily cleared the first two stages, but the last stage is pretty difficult.

Coming to the act itself, we do not recommend anyone attempt such stunts, as it is foolish and extremely dangerous. Tata had hired a team of professionals to pull the stunt off. The owner of the Tiago.ev was being overconfident about his abilities, and if he had not been stopped, it wouldn’t have ended well.

Many people do such stunts for the sake of publicity on social media. We urge people not to imitate such stunts in public places without proper permission and supervision. The Tiago.ev owner was not only putting his own life at risk but, also the lives of his friends who were with him in the car. We really hope this doesn’t become a trend and that this video serves as an example to discourage such behavior.
