Goa is known as the party capital of India. However, in recent times, we have been hearing about many unpleasant experiences from tourists visiting the state. In fact, the situation has become so concerning that many have started looking for alternative destinations for their vacations. Several videos have surfaced online where cops and authorities have allegedly targeted and harassed tourists.

One such video shows a tourist from Pune questioning the cops over illegal parking charges. The video was shared by Goa Republic News on their Facebook page. In the video, a tow truck is seen stopping in front of a shop. Soon after, a person gets down from the truck and clamps the rear wheel of two scooters parked by the roadside.

The tourist, who had parked his scooter there, approached the tow truck and explained that he had parked by the roadside and was standing next to the shop because it was raining. He was already aware of this trick, as he had seen a similar incident happen the previous day.

He then told the officers that he was ready to pay the fine but demanded an official receipt. He spoke to the individuals in the tow truck and asked them to step out of the vehicle. The men, dressed in police uniforms, insisted that the scooter was parked illegally. The tourist admitted this and agreed to pay the fine, but for some reason, the officers were not willing to provide a receipt.

When he asked to see their identity cards, both men claimed they were not carrying theirs. He further questioned why they were traveling in a tow truck that belonged to the Gram Panchayat. He even asked the driver for his identity card, but surprisingly, the driver had no proof to show he was employed by the Gram Panchayat.

The officers kept telling him that he could come to their office, where they would show him their IDs and other official documents. To this, the tourist responded that he could not visit their office as he had a flight to catch.

He also pointed out the pathetic condition of the tow truck they were using. The tourist from Pune claimed that the cops were deliberately targeting vehicles rented by tourists and were issuing fines illegally.

Although they told him the fine was ₹500, they never gave him a proper challan or receipt. The tourist questioned this behavior, and throughout the conversation, the officers remained calm and listened to him. They even attempted to leave the spot, but he did not allow them to do so.

Eventually, when they realized he would not let the matter go, they asked the man who clamped the scooter to remove it. Both scooters parked by the roadside were set free, and after removing the clamps, the tow truck left without further issues.
