Hyundai Creta Flips On A Curve: Bystanders Pull Out Occupants, Straighten SUV [Video]

Driving on the hills is always challenging and if you are not an experienced driver it won’t be long before you find yourself in a tricky situation. If you are not aware of the driving style on the hills, you would easily lose control and end up in a crash. We have seen several examples of the same in the past and here we have one such video where tourists travelling in a Hyundai Creta lose control and flip on a sharp curve.
The video has been shared by Hans Raj on his Instagram page. In this video, we see a Hyundai Creta lying sideways on a road. Locals run gathered almost immediately to help and they opened the door and rescued occupants one by one. All occupants in the car including the driver escaped the accident without any major injuries.
As per the person who posted the video, Hyundai Creta lost control on a sharp curve and flipped. It is possible that the driver was not very experienced and that is what caused the accident. The video mentions that the accident happened somewhere near Kumarhatti region of Himachal Pradesh. It is not clear if the Hyundai Creta was being driven recklessly or not. It is also possible that the driver lost control of the vehicle after spotting some obstacle on the road. After rescuing two occupants, people push the car and bring it back on four wheels. The ORVMs, door panels and fenders of the SUV look damaged. The coolant and other fluids from under the bonnet have leaked and the locals can be heard telling the driver to not start the car as it would damage the engine.
Driving on the hills require another set of skill and patience. Most roads on the mountains and hilly region are pretty narrow and are filled with blind curves. If you drive too fast or careless on such roads, it won’t be long before you crash your vehicle.
While driving on the hills ensure that you are not too fast. Also do not drive recklessly and overtake at blind curves. You might crash into a vehicle coming from the opposite direction if not careful. Always ensure that you have a clear view of the road ahead before overtaking. Also ensure that you maintain a safe distance with the vehicle in front of you. If you are driving up a slope, ensure that you are not creating nuisance to other road users. If you are coming down a slope, ensure that you don’t use the brakes excessively. The brakes tend to overheat when used excessively and after some time it becomes ineffective. While coming down it is always a good idea to use engine braking to slow down. Also ensure that you give way to vehicles that are coming up. Also ensure that you use horn at curves to alert other vehicles. Try to drive carefully after it gets dark as most roads on the mountain don’t have proper street lights.
