With the number of vehicles increasing on the road, we have also started witnessing more incidents that show how impatient people have become. Road rage cases are rising dangerously, and we have featured several such incidents on our website too. Here, we have a video where a Toyota Fortuner driver deliberately crashed into a Ford Mustang.

The video has been shared by Prateek Singh on his YouTube channel. The vlogger mentions that the accident happened in Haryana’s Bahadurgarh. Both the Toyota Fortuner and the Ford Mustang were being driven on the Dwarka Expressway.

A newlywed couple was travelling in the Ford Mustang while the Fortuner was being driven by its owner. The video claims that the drivers of both cars had an argument over giving way on the expressway. The SUV driver was allegedly trying to overtake the Mustang, but the muscle car driver was not allowing it.

Angered by this behaviour, the Fortuner driver allegedly lost his cool. He followed the Mustang for several kilometres and started hitting the car from the rear. The Mustang owner continued driving, likely panicking because his partner was also in the car. After this, the Fortuner driver overtook the Mustang and turned around.

The SUV was then driven on the wrong side of the expressway and collided head-on with the Mustang. It is not clear whether the crash happened at high speed. However, from the images, it is evident that the SUV was on the wrong side and the front ends of both the Fortuner and the Mustang have been heavily damaged.

The video clearly suggests a road rage incident where the ego of both drivers escalated the situation. Both vehicles have suffered serious damage, and it appears they are currently parked at a police station’s impound yard.

Road rage incidents are becoming alarmingly common on our roads. It is always a good idea to remain patient while driving. If you ever find yourself in such a situation, try not to panic and pull over safely. The best way to avoid this conflict would have been for the Mustang driver to simply give way to the Fortuner.

The situation escalated because both parties refused to back down.

If the Fortuner driver was at fault, the Mustang owner should have ideally noted down the registration number and filed a complaint with the local police. One should never directly engage with the other party, as it could make things worse. Always call the police and seek help instead of trying to resolve the matter yourself.

Due to the rise in such incidents, many people have started installing dashcams in their cars. The footage from these cameras can be used as evidence to determine who is at fault and can also be helpful while claiming insurance after an accident. Such cameras also act as a safety and security device since some of them can automatically start recording if they detect intrusion or a collision.
