It looks like the truck driver applied the brakes suddenly, and the cars behind the truck had to come to a sudden stop. The front of the Defender that is right behind the truck looks undamaged, which could mean that the driver managed to stop before crashing into the truck.
However, the Toyota Fortuner that was behind the Land Rover Defender was probably not lucky enough. The driver probably didn’t get enough time or gap to stop the SUV. The Fortuner crashed into the Defender. The bonnet of the Fortuner is damaged and it looks like the front grille and bumper might have also suffered minor damage.
The exact cause of this accident is not known and we are assuming the cause as detailed information is not available. The Fortuner rear-ended the Defender.
