Toyota Fortuner To Legender Conversion For Just Rs. 85,000 [Video]
The Toyota Fortuner Legender is currently one of the hottest SUVs in the Indian automotive market. Brand-new, it starts at Rs 44 lakh. However, a lot of Fortuner Legenders that are seen on the roads are converted vehicles. What happens is a lot of people who own the standard Type 3 Fortuner get it converted into a Legender. Today, one such converted Legender has been shown on YouTube, and the shop owner has provided all the pricing details of this conversion.
This video of the Toyota Fortuner getting converted into a Legender has been shared on YouTube by Mihir Galat on their channel. It starts with the vlogger highlighting that the shop which he is going to show in the video belongs to one of his friends, who has also been featured on his channel before. He mentions that he used to own a modified Maruti Suzuki Gypsy, and now he has opened his shop where he provides all modification services.
Toyota Fortuner Legender conversion details
Following the introduction, the vlogger starts by showing the exterior of this particular Toyota Fortuner which has been converted into a Legender. He states that this particular vehicle is a 2017 Sigma 4 4X4 variant. He then gets asked about which type of customers get their Fortuner converted into a Legender.
To this, the owner of the shop mentions that the owners of Fortuners which get involved in minor front-end collisions generally opt for this conversion. He highlights that the factory repair would cost them around Rs 50–60,000. So, instead of getting the old model repainted, they convert the vehicle.
The owner also mentions that there are other people as well who just do this conversion because they want to renew their vehicle. These people get the same Legender appearance by paying just Rs 80–85,000, which is a fraction of the cost of the new car. Following this, he then starts talking about the kit which he is offering.
As per the owner of this shop, he states that they use the highest quality aftermarket Fortuner to Legender conversion kit. He adds that this kit includes a front bumper grille, LED headlights, LED fog lights, gloss black bumper trims, bumper LED DRLs, rear bumpers, taillights, and the cutting of the rear spoiler, which gives it a genuine Legender appearance.
While showing the quality of the fitment, the owner of the shop also mentions that they use original Toyota paint and are also offering after-sales service for their kit and headlights. He adds that they can also convert the interior. In the video, he mentions that they have added red leather upholstery to this particular car, which makes it look like a real Legender.

Finally, after talking about the details of the kit and showing the complete conversion, the owner talks about the pricing. He states that some shops charge upwards of Rs 1–1.25 lakh, or some even do it for as cheap as Rs 60,000. However, he adds that those shops do not add the higher quality kits and fool the customers. The owner of this particular shop mentions that they charge Rs 85,000 for the complete conversion, which includes the body parts mentioned above and the paint.
He added that the viewers who reach his shop and refer to the YouTuber will get a Rs 5,000 discount on the conversion. Also, if they opt for the interior package, they can get the exterior conversion kit installation for Rs 78,000. He added that this particular offer is only limited to the first 10 customers who come with the reference. Now although these conversion are not legal, people still do them because it gives their vehcile a refreshed appearance. However, it has to be noted that if caught by the authorities the vehicle can be siezed as well.
