Toyota Innova Hycross Gets Luxurious Custom Interior With Vellfire-Style Recliners [Video]
The Toyota Innova Hycross is one of the most popular premium affordable MPVs in the country. Ever since its launch, it has been witnessing very strong demand for the sheer comfort that it provides to the people who get driven in it. Recently, an owner of a Toyota Innova Hycross did something unique to his MPV to make it even more luxurious and comfortable. What did he do, you may ask? Well, he got his Innova Hycross fitted with aftermarket recliners and a custom interior.
Aftermarket recliners in Toyota Innova Hycross
The video showing the installation and designing of recliners and the custom interior in a Toyota Innova Hycross has been shared on YouTube by Autorounders on their channel. In this video, the owner of the shop gives the complete details and shows the behind-the-scenes process of the Innova Hycross recliner installation. He mentions that they have imported these custom recliners.
As per the owner, these seats look like they have been taken out of a Toyota Vellfire premium MPV. Following this, he starts showing the disassembly of the company-fitted reclining seats and the last row of seats. It can then be noted that the entire floor carpeting was also removed so that the recliners could be installed with perfection.
After this, he mentions that to place the recliners inside the car, they had to custom weld the mounting points on the floor of this MPV. For this, he states that they recommend removing the fuel tank. This is because, during welding, the fuel tank can catch fire and cause an explosion. We can then see the technicians welding the points on the floor.
Next up, the Innova Hycross gets custom floor carpeting, and after that, the new recliners are installed. During this, the vlogger mentions that they have removed the rear seat, as the owner wanted to have the maximum range of reclining for the newly added seats.
Following the completion of the installation, the host mentions that these seats come with in-built ottomans and can recline almost 30 degrees. He added that they also come equipped with a massager that has three levels of intensity. Also, these recliners come with ventilation and heating functions as well.
Custom interior
Moving on, the host then adds that apart from adding the new recliners, they have also given the cabin of this Hycross a refresh. He mentions that they have wrapped the front seats, dashboard, and all four door pads in the same color leather upholstery as the rear recliners. The owner added that they have tried to recreate the same stitching pattern on the front seats and have also kept the seat ventilation by installing perforated leather.

The Toyota Innova Hycross, as mentioned, is one of the most popular MPVs in the market. It currently starts at Rs 19.94 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 32.58 lakh. It comes powered by a 5th Generation Self-Charging Strong Hybrid system, which consists of a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, an electric motor, and an e-drive transmission.
This drivetrain is capable of producing 186 PS (137 kW). The fuel efficiency is another major highlight. The hybrid setup also allows the MPV to run in pure EV mode for up to 60% of the time, helping reduce emissions and fuel use.
