New Video Shows Made-In-India Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Inside OUT!

Maruti Suzuki unveiled their first-ever electric SUV, the eVitara, at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The electric SUV will be launched later this year, and we all know that Toyota’s version of this SUV is also coming to the market. Toyota showcased the Urban BEV in their pavilion. As part of their strategy, Toyota plans to sell a major chunk of this SUV outside India. While we have seen several videos of the Urban BEV or Urban Cruiser EV online, we have rarely seen the interiors. Here, we have a video that shows just that.
The video has been shared by Autogefühl on their YouTube channel. In this video, the vlogger shows the exterior and interior of the Urban BEV. The SUV seen here looks more like a production-ready version. Toyota is calling it the Urban Cruiser EV. As we know, both of these SUVs are manufactured in India at Suzuki’s Gujarat plant.
Toyota’s version of the EV has minor cosmetic changes that differentiate it from the eVitara. The headlamp looks sleeker, with dotted dual-function LED DRLs. The gloss black elements on the nose and the bumper give it an ICE car-like look. In fact, it doesn’t look like an EV at first. Coming to the side profile, we see the charging port on the fender, 19-inch alloy wheels, thick cladding to enhance the SUV look, rear door handles integrated into the C-pillar, and more.
The side profile of the Urban Cruiser EV looks similar to the eVitara, as does the rear. The EV gets clear-lens LED tail lamps with a clear glass panel connecting both tail lights. There is Toyota badging in multiple places, and we also see the AWD badge at the rear.
The video then shows the cabin of the Urban Cruiser EV. The dashboard design is similar to the eVitara. It features a layered design with vertically placed AC vents. The SUV seen here gets an all-black cabin with hard plastics throughout. There are two 10-inch screens on the dashboard—one is a touchscreen infotainment system, while the other is a fully digital instrument cluster.
The eSUV gets physical buttons for AC control and volume. It has a floating-type center console with storage underneath. There is a decent amount of space under the armrest too. The driver’s seat is electrically adjustable. It also gets a twin-spoke steering wheel with several controls on it.
The seats are all black, and the rear seats can be reclined and slid forward and backward for more space. The sunroof on this particular SUV was not functional. It looks like only the production version might get a large sunroof.
The SUV also gets ambient lighting, JBL speakers, a gloss black center console, Level 2 ADAS, and many more features. The overall design of the cabin is similar to the eVitara, except for the Toyota badging in some places.
The Urban Cruiser EV will come with two battery pack options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh battery pack. The larger battery version will get AWD. However, if Toyota launches this SUV in India, it is likely to skip the AWD feature.
