Idiot Cop Jumps In Front Of Family On Bike: Causes Fall [Video]
We all know that traffic police are there to report accidents and also to make sure that no traffic violations take place. However, sometimes these traffic police authorities become the very reason behind an accident. Recently, a video of one such traffic police officer causing an accident on a busy public road has been shared online. The video shows that a family of four was riding on a bike when a police officer randomly jumped in front to stop them. Unfortunately, the rider, along with his family, fell on the road.
This video of a traffic police officer causing a family to fall on a busy road comes courtesy of Prateek Singh from YouTube. The creator mentions that this video was submitted to him by one of his viewers from Jaipur. He states that the person who shared the video was driving his Maruti Suzuki WagonR from JLN Road to Jagatpura.
The video then shows that the car driver first crossed a signal and was driving at a normal speed of 35-40 kmph. It can be noted that there was a bike on the left on which four people were sitting. It was a man, his wife, and two young children.
Traffic cop causes accident
What happens next is that, out of nowhere, a traffic police officer jumps out of the sidewalk to stop the bike rider. At the same time, the WagonR driver comes right next to this biker and his family. Now, as the police officer completely blocked the road to stop the biker, he could not control the bike and crashed into the WagonR.
The rear camera footage then shows that the entire family of four fell down on the busy road where there were a number of vehicles coming from behind. Thankfully, all of the drivers managed to stop their vehicles on time, and none of the family members were hurt by another vehicle.
However, things could have turned worse if the vehicles behind the bike were any closer. The video then shows that the police officer, along with a few others on the road, immediately rushed to pick up the family members, including the two very young kids.
Who was at fault?
From the video, it is very clear that the majority of the fault was with the traffic police officer as he jumped out of nowhere. We understand that the biker was violating multiple traffic rules. However, jumping on the road randomly is something that police authorities should not do, as it can startle any rider.
Even very experienced riders can lose control if someone jumps on the road out of nowhere. However, it also has to be acknowledged that the biker was also at fault as he should not have tried to dodge the police officer. He should have stopped the bike instead. But it can also be understood that it must have been hard to immediately stop the bike as well.
Why do police officers jump on the road to catch bikers?
The answer to this question is that generally, many bike riders try to swerve around the traffic police authorities. They do this in order to avoid fines due to numerous reasons such as incomplete papers of the vehicle, lack of helmet, or the vehicle being modified.
So, in order to not let these bike and scooter riders get away, police officers now jump on the road to stop them. In this process, sometimes accidents like the one above take place. And sometimes even the police officers get hurt as the bikers accelerate even if the cops catch them.
