Cop Makes Drivers Listen To Their Vehicles’ ‘Loud Horns’ As Punishment [Video]

It isn’t uncommon in India to find heavy vehicles, buses in particular with air horns that are loud to unsafe levels. Even though the law has prohibited the use of these on public carriages and more importantly, on public roads, many continue to use loud horns. Cops continue to do vigilante missions to bust the use of air horns. A recent video shows a Karnataka policeman punishing bus drivers in a way that has sparked discussions on the internet. He made these drivers listen to the loud horns of their own vehicles.

In Karnataka, bus drivers are rather aggressive in the way they drive. Call it deadlines or unprecedented confidence, these aggressive runs often cause accidents and crashes. Even worse, these drivers are aggressive with honking too. They flaunt their loud horns every now and then, and the same causes a nuisance to those around.

In slow-moving scenarios, buses can be seen honking endlessly. As per Indian regulations, the horns used on vehicles should be homologated and adhere to set guidelines and regulations.

The Punishment:

The policeman here decided to teach these drivers a lesson by making them listen to their horns. The uniformed cop made the bus drivers kneel down before their buses and listen to the shrilling horns. The cop was apparently trying to make the drivers aware of the nuisance created by unnecessary honking. The initiative seemed to have worked out as the drivers were all convinced that the horns were loud and annoying.
