Parking is a major issue in most Indian cities. With the number of vehicles on the road increasing, people are finding it difficult to find a parking spot—not just at home but also in public places. This often forces people to park their vehicles dangerously on the roadside, creating congestion or inconvenience for others.

Here, we have a video where a Tata Punch owner carelessly parked his vehicle on a railway track, which forced a train to stop. The video has been shared by a user on YouTube, and it appears that the incident happened in Darjeeling.

The video starts by showing a Tata Punch parked on the track of a toy train that runs on the route. A few seconds into the video, we see a train coming down the slope. It should be noted that the car is parked on a curve in the track.

The train approaches from the opposite direction, and the loco pilot somehow notices the Tata Punch on the track and suddenly applies the brakes. The toy train runs between New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling and is actually a very popular tourist attraction in the region.

The track for this train is laid next to the road and, unlike regular trains, this toy train uses narrow tracks. Once the train stopped before crashing into the Tata Punch, the loco pilot started honking and looking for the owner. There was no one inside the car, as they had probably parked it and gone to check the view from the mountains.

Thankfully, the Tata Punch owner was not too far and immediately ran towards his car when he noticed that it had caused an issue. The loco pilot can be heard asking local shopkeepers about the car and why they didn’t stop the owner from parking it on the track.

If you notice, a truck is also parked on the same side as the Tata Punch, but it is not causing any issue. We feel the owner of the Tata Punch was probably not aware that a train could arrive at any time. We assume that the parked truck on the same side gave him more confidence to do so.

If you notice, the truck was parked in a very careful manner. It was close to the mountain, and the driver tried to keep it as far away from the tracks as possible to avoid inconvenience. If the loco pilot had not applied the brakes in time, the train could have easily damaged the car.

The owner of the car soon runs to the vehicle and moves it away from the track. Shortly after that, the train continues on its way. If you are parking in a public place, always ensure that you are not blocking the way for others.

If the Punch driver had asked the locals or looked for another spot, he could have easily avoided this situation and saved himself from embarrassment. We hope that the Punch owner thinks twice before parking anywhere next time.
