The Indian government’s aggressive rollout of E20 petrol (Ethanol-blended petrol) has sparked discussions and panic among people about the ill effects of its sustained usage. For starters, this isn’t an all-new product. The additive has been around for some time now. The blend was, however, updated and tuned to provide protection against the ill effects of E20 fuel. The team at Triple Shot and Race Monkey took time to get the blend right. They wanted the product to have the most optimal characteristics.

Triple Shot all-in-one additive comes with the right blend of Ester oils. These will help in lubricating the engine properly. This will minimise wear caused by E20 petrol- a common issue on non-E20 compliant engines.

The product is also claimed to help with the proper atomisation of the fuel during combustion. The team also worked on ensuring that the additive would restore the thermal efficiency of petrol lost due to the drop in energy density brought about by Ethanol blending. It further increases the Octane value of the petrol and improves the throttle input.

The company claims that they have conducted rigorous testing of this product. It has been just a few months since the government announced the complete transition to E20 petrol. The development of this product, however, began last year. Initially, it was developed for E10 blends and was later tuned to work well with E20 as well.

Now, Triple Shot is working on making the blend E27 compliant. The company also says that this product was developed from scratch, keeping India’s aggressive Ethanol blending plans in mind. In the future, we will likely see it offer protection against higher Ethanol blends.
